Lore and History

Inferno Industries is a large industrial organisation operating beyond the comfortable reach of the United Empire of Earth. Inferno Industries has become famous for going where most corporations refuse to operate: shattered warzones, barren systems, abandoned battlefields and vanduul-controlled territory

Origins
The story of Inferno Industries began with the fall of the Tiber system, when many on the frontier believed the UEE had failed to understand the scale of the Vanduul threat. While official forces withdrew, reorganized, or focused elsewhere, a small private military company was formed. The company was named Inferno Legion, a name born from the burning ruins of fallen cities and the belief that, from their ashes, humanity would rise once more to fight back.

That company had no grand industrial ambition at first. Its purpose was simple: fight back.

Operating from hidden staging points, the early Inferno militia launched raids into Vanduul-held territory. They escorted refugees, struck isolated Vanduul patrols, recovered wreckage, and mapped dangerous routes through systems most navigators considered suicide corridors.

These early campaigns were costly. Ships were lost. Crews vanished. Entire strike groups never returned. But the survivors brought back something unexpected: data proving that Vanduul-controlled regions contained rare minerals, exotic metals, and battlefield salvage of extraordinary value.

The PMC changed course when Inferno’s founders realized that the war could not be won by firepower alone.
Inferno Industries was born.

The Industrial Shift
Inferno Industries began extracting resources from battle-scarred worlds, asteroid fields, and derelict zones along the edge of hostile space. Vanduul wreckage was stripped, catalogued, melted, studied, and repurposed. Nothing was wasted.

As profits grew, Inferno expanded. Mining fleets multiplied. Salvage yards became mobile foundries. Security wings became battle groups. Outposts became fortress-stations. What began as a neutral PMC became a massive organization with its own economy, military, intelligence network, and industrial doctrine.

Inferno’s Gate
Within the heart of the Inferno lies Inferno’s Gate, headquarters of Inferno Industries

Part space station, part city, part industrial fortress, Inferno’s Gate is located near the edge of a Vanduul-adjacent star system. Its exact location is not publicly listed on civilian nav databases, and travel to the station requires approved routing codes, escort clearance, or direct corporate authorization.

Inferno’s Gate contains:

Massive ore refineries, salvage yards, shipbreaking docks, military drydocks, civilian habitats, corporate districts, weapons-testing platforms, logistics hubs.

The station never sleeps. Mining haulers arrive under escort. Salvage convoys unload damaged hulls. Legion patrols launch from armoured hangars. Smelters burn day and night, turning wreckage and raw ore into alloys, ship plating, ammunition, and construction material.

The Council of the Flame

Inferno Industries is governed by the Flame Council/Council of the Flame, a powerful inner body composed of industrial magnates, military commanders, intelligence directors, fleet marshals, and senior logistical authorities.

At its head sits the chairman, also known as the flame-keeper, a symbolic guardian of Inferno’s original mission.

Inferno Legion
Although the company’s name was officially changed to Inferno Industries, the name Inferno Legion was kept as the military force of Inferno Industries.

Its personnel include former UEE Navy officers, frontier militia veterans, private military contractors.

The Infernus

The mobile headquarters of the Inferno Legion is the Odin-Class Battlecruiser The Infernus.

Painted in charred black, with molten-orange markings along its armoured hull, The Infernus is more than a warship. It is a command citadel, fleet anchor, and symbol of Inferno’s might

While Inferno’s Gate is the industrial heart of the organization, The Infernus is its burning sword.

The ship coordinates Legion deployments, protects high-value extraction operations, leads punitive strikes, and serves as the command platform for deep-range operations in hostile territory.

When deployed, The Infernus is sometimes accompanied by its sister ship, another Odin-Class Battlecruiser.

Culture

The organization attracts people who believe the frontier cannot rely on distant governments for survival.

Common Inferno values include self-reliance, sacrifice, industrial strength, and vengeance against the Vanduul. Every recruit is taught that mining, salvage, logistics, and combat are part of the same mission.

A refinery worker is as important as a pilot. A salvager is as important as a marine. A hauler carrying ore may decide whether a fleet survives its next battle.

Inferno does not separate industry from war.

Manifesto

Welcome to Inferno Legion & Industries

This organisation is centred around the Infernus, an Odin-Class Battlecruiser.

Short summary of the Odin battlecruiser
The Odin is a massive capital-class battlecruiser developed by Anvil Aerospace. Measuring approximately 750 metres in length, with a width and height of around 220 metres
At the bow of the ship feature’s it’s main weapon, a gigantic fixed forward beam weapon built specifically to destroy capital class ships. Beyond that, it carries a huge amount of devastating turrets. The ship also features a wide range of internal facilities and amenities, including a tram system, hospital, council room, a massive hangar, and many more.

The Odin battlecruiser is still in it’s concept phase and we will not be seeing it any time soon. Since the Infernus is not currently available, the Idris frigate will serve as our primary capital-ship platform. In the future, the Javelin destroyer will also serve as a replacement and supporting platform until the Infernus can take its intended role at the centre of the Legion.

Gameplay focus
Even though our focus is centred around the Odin, we will still be doing all types of gameplay star citizen has to offer.
Mining, salvaging, cargo hauling, exploration, logistics, combat support, reconnaissance, FPS operations, industrial support, trading, recovery, engineering, and fleet operations all have a place within Inferno Industries.

The Odin battlecruiser Infernus or in this case the Idris-P is our main ship and focus. At the beginning of every ‘main’ organisation event, each participating member will be assigned a designated position aboard the ship and will set their regeneration point there. Whether assigned to command, engineering, turrets, or another operational station, every member will know their role should the ship be called into action.

Once positions have been assigned, members may deploy aboard whatever vessels best suit the mission—including their own personal ships. Mining vessels may be used for resource operations, salvage ships for extraction missions, transports for logistics, and fighters or ground vehicles for combat assignments. Crewing the Infernus is our number 1 priority when it comes to PVP during our main events
Throughout these operations, the Infernus will serve as the fleet’s regeneration point and command centre. Recovered cargo, valuable equipment, weapons, supplies, and other mission assets may be returned to the ship for safekeeping while operations continue.

Should a powerful hostile fleet attack our operation (PVP), the order may be given for all available personnel to immediately return to the Infernus. Members will then proceed directly to their previously assigned stations, allowing the ship to move from a state of readiness to full combat capability as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Roleplay
Our roleplay standard is light and casual. We aim to maintain a nice balance between roleplay and gameplay. For example, a member may be assigned the role of ship cook, providing food and drinks to the crew. Using proximity VOIP, members can walk up to them and place an order. Those moments adds a nice immersive experience to the game.

Communication
Our primary method of communication will be the in-game VOIP system. Being in a call on discord with a couple of friends is one of the best experience a gamer can have but we believe that larger voice channels can quickly become chaotic, especially during major events. Most players will also feel left out. By using in-game VOIP as our main communication method, we keep conversations local, practical, and immersive. Crew members communicate with those around them, and the ship feels alive.

Roles
You will have two roles within the fleet, a combat role and main role.
A combat role will be assigned to you at the start of an event. A combat role are the ships official multi-crew role such as turret gunners, engineers, missile operator etc.

As for the main role you will be able to choose one of the following:
Cook (food & drinks)
Medic (medgels, medguns, medpens etc)
Quartermaster (Fps weapons)
Quartermaster (Outfits)
Quartermaster (Industrial tools)
Ordnance Specialists (ship ammo & missiles)

Providing the items within your role is ‘optional’ but is greatly appreciated

Beyond these ranks there are also special ranks

1. Captain
- This is a temporary rank granted to the coordination leader of an event. They have the full command of the Infernus and it’s operation.
- A commander will usually hold this title but if no commanders are available to host an event the title can be given to an officer who will host the event in their stead.

2. Vice-captain
- Another temporary rank who helps the event coordinator during events. The vice captain will help command the Infernus together with the captain. If a second battlecruiser is available the vice-captain will command that ship. They also have the responsibility of inviting members to the party

3. Flame-keeper/Chairman
This member makes sure that there are always active org leaders who will help grow the organisation and keeps the organisation from becoming inactive. This member also makes sure that the organisation doesn’t sway from it’s identity.
The identity being:
1. The name of Inferno Industries / Inferno Legion
2. The flame-themed identity of the organisation.
3. The established organisational colour being charred-black as the primary colour and molten-orange being the secondary colour.
4. Prioritization of the Infernus

How the rest of the organisation is structured is up to the council to dictate.

Time zones & Events
We usually hold our main events on Saturday evenings so that the event can accommodate both EU and US players. There may be instances where we will fight against or team up with another organisation at a different day. Main events are usually held every other week. We might skip a couple of events in a specific patch if we notice that there are a lot of bugs during that patch.
We might also host another event a week after an event if there is a special event

Main events are categorized into 4 types:
1. Industrial
2. Ship combat
3. FPS combat
4. Uncategorized

1. Industrial event
The goal of the industrial event is to raise funds for the fleet. Ship costs, crew equipment etc. Industrial event includes one of the following:
- Hand, Vehicle & Ship Mining.
- Salvaging
- Large scale cargo hauling

2. Ship combat
Usually involves us taking down a capital sized ship (Polaris or bigger) from a mission. While doing the mission we will be sending a reconnaissance team throughout the verse to scout for potential PVP targets (players in capital sized ships)

3. FPS combat
To be decided….

4. Uncategorized
Examples of uncategorized events are racing, exploration, org vs org, IAE/Invictus meetup, ship combat training etc

Who we are looking for:
Even though we will be doing all types of gameplay, we are still looking for players who are interested on serving onboard the Infernus. The organisation is for those who enjoy the life of a capital-ship crew member. It is for players who want to man turrets, operate systems, repair damages, do engineering, coordinate logistics, defend corridors, respond to fires, cook food for the crew, prepare ground equipment, and scrubbing the deck floors. If you would rather fly solo or use your own ship when we have called everyone to their battle station then this is not the organisation for you.

What we expect in our members
- Is interested in multi-crew gameplay.
- Is flexible and willing to take different roles when needed.
- Have patience when operations do not go according to plan.
- Is mature and able to follow instructions
- Have some interest in RP

Rekindling the Flame
Inferno Industries is currently entering a new chapter as we work to reignite the flame of the organisation. Over the years, we have experienced periods of intense activity as well as periods of inactivity due to lack of new star citizen content, severe bugs and inactive members. Our long-term goal is to establish a consistent event schedule, with a major organisation event taking place every other weekend and a more casual gameplay session held between them. Thalerien/Cybermanic has stepped down as the sole leader of the organisation after 7 years and has established the council of the flame and it is with the council that the organisation will be able to grow again and host events consistently without depending on a single individual to remain active. As more active leaders and members join our ranks, Inferno Industries will gradually move toward hosting regular events on a dependable schedule. And with time, Inferno Industries will burn brighter than before.
