Knight Market Logistics was founded as the dedicated logistics partner for Knight Market Industrial, a mid-volume mining and materials processing firm headquartered in the Vega system. Together with security partner Knight Market Security, these three companies formed the core entities of the Knight Market Group. For more than a decade, KNML built its business supplying the shipping needs of its Knight Market partners.

Over time, however, it became clear to Knight Market leadership that by dedicating their efforts solely to the support of Knight Market’s mining operations, both KNML and Knight Market Security were missing opportunities for more profitable and interesting work. As a result, in 2942 Knight Market Industrial began outsourcing its logistics and security needs to the third-party market, and the Knight Market Group was dissolved. Knight Market Security re-branded as the private security and mercenary operations firm Heroes for Hire, while Knight Market Logistics began to earn its now well-deserved reputation for high-discretion, low-profile transportation.
