History

Back in the early 21 century, the founder’s ancestorswanted to make a better future for themselves. This was not a family that was well connected or well off. Just working class folk who were striving to make it day by day. Announcements were made about the future of mining. Space, Asteroids, celestial satellites ripe for the picking. Many scoffed at the idea of sending humans into space to mine rare minerals or things as silly as water. The founders saw past that. They decided to create a small organization called Universal Logistics Service (ULS). The mining would be lucrative and pave the way for further exploration but how would they move the materials? The founders had the foresight to realize that the transportation of equipment, minerals, supplies could be just as beneficial but how to get started?

In the beginning, it was not easy. Regulations, enterprises, and the ignorant to the changing times attempted to stop the future. They didn’t want to old ways of Earth to go away. The move to space threatened many. The founders had to take on governments, conglomerates, other upstarts but they slowly carved out their niche. In the beginning it was important to be small and highly mobile. This let the founders make ULS flexible to what ever the needs. They didn’t own their own rockets at first but found creative and efficient ways to buy room and to muster their supplies on basic drones in space until they could ship them out. ULS played the markets and made available the resources when miners and others needed the supplies the most. This small footprint and smart business gave the founders and ULS the ability to survive government collapses, revolutions, wars, and other human sufferings to make it to today. As timed passed and technology furthered, ULS was able to purchase their own ships and smaller competitors to become who they are today. Slowly growing and branching out.

No matter how ULS few, family was always in charge. Through strikes and other pains, the lineage did their best to provide for their workers. The leading morals and ethics of the founders was passed on to each generation to look out for those in need and to help when possible. This made other question some of the motives of ULS but never waivered the morals. ULS was not always on the side of the law but never strayed to far from them, no matter how much the laws changed or unfair they became. Moving quick and being reliable was what gave ULS an edge and a required service for all side, like it or not. As ULS grows and explores other systems and worlds we have always adapted to what is needed.

Universal Logistic Services (ULS) has realized that the future is much brighter than just to transport and trade. Why not control the minerals and exploration as well. ULS is expanding into new markets to help grow the brand and to bring more to those in need. Mining by Universal Mining Services (UMS) and Exploration by Universal Exploration and Scouting Services (UESS) are now part of the future.

Manifesto

Universal Logistic Services is your company to move goods. ULS is not one person but a family who works together. We all need work to keep ourselves fed and there is no better way than to do that together. We find jobs that are needed and get them done. We don’t ask to many questions but do not handle anything unethically illegal. No drugs, piracy or illegal weapons. We work with the law but not always next to it.

If we run across a people in need, due to whatever the circumstance, we do our best to help. This may mean we bend some rules from time to time but not all the time. We look for equality for all. Male, Female, Human, Not. We are all in the ‘verse together.

We are motivated to grow and make money. Unlike other companies, we are not in it to make the founders or high ranks wealthy. We make for ourselves and give a little to help in members time of need. Our collective is of members who want to be here. Citizens or not.

Charter

ULS Obedience:

1. Have Fun!

This is just a game. This is not real life. When playing, have fun. Enjoy yourself and the game. If there is anything ULS can do to help you better enjoy, let us know and we will see if we can help.

2. Harm no one.

We do not take lightly to killing for fun or being killed in return. Deeper looking, we do not look to take advantage of or cause un-pleasantries to other either. We believe in doing good and good will be done to us. Space is a cruel, cold, uncultured place but doesn’t me we can’t bring some to it. Do not harm anyone in any sense. Physical, Psychological, or by any other mean.

3. Protect yourself if threatened.

Harm no one, but if you are about to be harmed. Stop ‘em! Protect yourself at all cost. Your life is more important than theirs. Do not kill unless absolutely need,

4. Complete your job timely and professionally.

You may have taken on a task as yourself or found it through ULS. Remember that ULS is your company, backer, and reputation. Complete your task as fast and efficiently as possible. Be professional and proper at all times. If a client is upset, try to help them become happy. If they are unreasonable, ask them to speak to leadership for reconciliation.

You are not required to take every job. You can take jobs as you want and feel free to travel the ‘verse as you please. You can not leave the membership and expect to return. If you decide to leave I am very sorry for that choice but look forward to working with you in the future.

5. Get Paid.

Once your job is done, you will get paid. You will make the bulk of the credits but to keep ULS operating, unfortunately there is overhead costs. The credits that you did not get doesn’t go to the pockets of Operations, but funds the dispatch, behind the scene crews, supplies, fuel, unexpected costs, repairs, and helping each other in our times of need. We may no buy you a personal ship but as we need, ULS will purchase ships for company use.

5. Stay humane.

We may not all be humans but we are all civilized in these times. We help others as need be. Treat others with respect and as you want to be.
