History

The Lucky Devils: Born in the Void, Free Among the Stars

In the regimented expanse of the United Empire of Earth (UEE), where corporate overlords controlled the market, and the UEE Navy wrote the script on what it considered to be a citizen, the Lucky Devils roared into existence as the galaxy’s premier independent entity. Drawing fierce inspiration from Earth’s legendary motorcycle gangs—the thunderous brotherhoods of chrome, leather, and rebellion—the Devils traded two wheels for fusion drives, swapping dusty highways for asteroid belts and warp jumps. Their creed? Live free or die trying. No charters, no colors but Green, Gold and Purple, and a devil’s clover that wards off the void’s bad luck.

The Founders: Sp00k and ScullyX

It all kicked off in 2945, deep in the smoky underbelly of Area 18 on ArcCorp. Sp00k, a grizzled ex-UEE Navy test pilot with a reputation for pushing the limits longer than a Gladius’ afterburner trail, had burned out on classified flight trials. He’d pushed prototype ships to their breaking point, then ditched the brass for the underground ship-racing circuit—dodging Xi’an patrols and pirate blockades in souped-up racers, racking wins from Pyro to Nyx. Haunted by crashes that should’ve ended him, Sp00k lived by one rule: luck favors the bold.
Enter ScullyX, a sharp-eyed former medical officer who’d patched up more Navy grunts than she cared to count. Stationed on the UES Vigilant during the Vanduul skirmishes, she’d seen the UEE’s iron fist crush the human spirit under endless regulations and deployments. Discharged after refusing orders to abandon wounded mercs on Caliban, ScullyX turned her med-scanner skills to black-market stims and field surgery for racers and smugglers. She craved the stars not as a cog in the machine, but as the final frontier—raw, untamed, meant for those daring enough to claim it.
The two crossed paths during a brutal underground race on Ruin Station. Sp00k’s Razor skidded into a debris field, engines flaming; ScullyX dragged him from the wreck, healed him up with her custom synth-blood, and got him flying again, mid-race. Over post-race moonshine in a dive bar, they bonded over shared scars: Sp00k’s near-death loops, ScullyX’s battlefield betrayals. “The UEE wants us leashed,” Sp00k growled. “But out here? Space is ours—free rides, no rules, just the rush.” ScullyX grinned: “Well, you seem to be lucky enough to elude the Devil, lets see what happens.”

The Spark and the Ride

That night, under neon haze, the Lucky Devils were born. No paperwork, just a pact sealed with engine grease and a stolen Cutlass painted ghoulish green. They rallied misfits: ex-fighters, burned-out haulers, alien outcasts—all hungry for the promise of liberty. First run? A high-stakes joyride through the Grim HEX asteroid field, outrunning Advocacy cruisers while blasting freedom anthems over comms. Word spread like plasma fire; recruits flocked, customizing beat-up Vanguards and Mercurys into “void hogs”—stripped-down beasts built for speed, scraps, and showing off.
From hit-and-fade raids on Tevarin ruins to barroom brawls on Everus Harbor, the Devils carved their legend. Sp00k leads the pack on death-defying races; ScullyX keeps ‘em alive with back-alley cybernetics. They’ve dodged Banu debt collectors, flipped off Nine Tails blockades, and claimed “Devil’s Drift”—a rogue wormhole jump named for their wildest ride.
Today, the Lucky Devils roam the ‘verse as nomads of the black, a pack of brothers. Fly hard, live free, tempt the devil. In a galaxy gone soft, they’re the thunder you hear coming—lucky, lawless, and forever chasing the horizon.

Manifesto

Lucky Devils Manifesto

Ride the Void, Claim the Stars
In the endless black of the ‘verse, where the UEE’s grip tightens like a noose on freedom, the Lucky Devils stand as a beacon for those who refuse to be chained. Founded in 2945 by Sp00k—a battle-hardened ex-UEE test pilot with a legacy of pushing ships beyond their limits in underground races—and ScullyX, a former Navy medical officer who turned her back on bureaucracy to heal the outlaws of the fringe—we forged this club from the ashes of conformity. United by a singular vision: to live free among the stars as they were meant to be—wild, uncharted, the ultimate frontier for the bold.
We are the heirs to Earth’s legendary motorcycle clubs, trading Harleys for Hornets, highways for hyperspace. Our colors—vibrant Green for the pulse of life in the void, gleaming Gold for the riches we seize, and deep Purple for the mysteries we unravel—fly on our patches, ships, and souls. At our core beats a four-leaf clover, symbol of the luck we make, not wait for. No hierarchies, no red tape—just a pack of nomads roaring through systems like Pyro and Nyx, outrunning Advocacy hounds and flipping off corporate overlords.
Our Creed:

Freedom Above All: We reject the UEE’s scripted existence. Out here, we chart our own courses—raiding forgotten ruins, racing through asteroid gauntlets, and claiming rogue jump points as our own. Devil’s Drift? That’s our mark on the map.

Brotherhood in the Black: From ex-fighters to alien drifters, we ride as one. Sp00k leads the charge in high-stakes pursuits; ScullyX mends the wounds. Together, we tempt fate and come out grinning.

Explore the Final Frontier: Space isn’t a prison; it’s our playground. We delve into uncharted territories, uncovering secrets the empire hides, all while living that nomadic thrill.

Beyond the lore, the Lucky Devils are more than in-game outlaws—we’re creators shaping the Star Citizen universe. We produce content that captures the essence of nomadic living: streams of daring ship runs, videos dissecting exploration tactics, and stories highlighting the raw freedom of the ‘verse. Whether it’s tutorials on customizing “void hogs” or epic montages of our raids, we share the adrenaline with the community, inspiring pilots everywhere to break free.

We’re growing, but we seek quality over quantity. If you’re a skilled racer, a savvy medic, a content creator with an eye for the epic, or a nomad at heart ready to contribute—prove your luck. Join us not for numbers, but for the ride that matters. Ride hard, live free, tempt the devil.

Charter

Bylaws of the Lucky Devils

Preamble
The Lucky Devils is a brotherhood of nomadic pilots and crew in the vast expanse of the ‘verse, inspired by the free-wheeling spirit of ancient Earth motorcycle clubs. We ride the stars on our ships, unbound by the chains of planetary governments, corporate overlords, or the UEE’s iron fist. Our core is brotherhood: loyalty to each other above all else. We seek liberty to roam as we please, prosperity through our wits and wings, and the advancement of the club’s goals by any means necessary—be it trade, salvage, exploration, or whatever the void demands. We ain’t saints, and we ain’t slaves to the law; we’re Devils, lucky and free. These bylaws bind us as one, ensuring our pack thrives in the black.

Article I: Membership

Section 1: Eligibility Any pilot or crew member who embodies the spirit of freedom, loyalty, and grit may apply to join. No restrictions based on origin, species, or past—only your actions in the ‘verse matter. Applicants must be sponsored by a full-patched member and demonstrate their worth through deeds that benefit the club.

Section 2: Prospecting New recruits start as Prospects (hangarounds optional for initial vetting). Prospects wear a “Prospect” patch on their flight suits and must prove themselves over a period set by the officers (typically 3-6 months in-game time). Duties include grunt work: ship maintenance, scouting runs, cargo hauls, or standing watch during ops. Prospects eat last, fly point, and take the heat to protect patched members. Prospects have no vote but must attend all meetings and rides unless excused.

Section 3: Patching In Full membership requires unanimous vote from patched members at a Church meeting. Upon patching, members receive the Lucky Devils colors: a devil’s skull with crossed thrusters on a black field, worn proudly on ships, suits, and gear. Members swear an oath: “I ride for the Devils, my brothers before all. Liberty in the stars, prosperity by our hands, goals advanced without chains.”

Section 4: Types of Membership Full-Patched: Voting rights, full privileges. Nomad: Members who roam solo but check in regularly; reduced dues but must respond to club calls. Honorary: For allies or legends; no vote, no dues, but respect given. Out Bad: Expulsion for betrayal—colors stripped, and the ‘verse is warned.

Section 5: Dues and Obligations Monthly dues: 10% of personal hauls or a fixed aUEC amount set by the Treasurer, used for club ships, repairs, and mutual aid. All members must contribute to club prosperity: share intel on lucrative routes, defend brothers in skirmishes, and prioritize club ops over personal gigs.

Article II: Officers and Duties
(Officers are elected annually by majority vote at the first Church of the year. They lead but remember: brotherhood first—no egos above the club.)

Section 1: President: The top dog, calls the shots on ops, represents the club in alliances or rivalries. Ensures bylaws are upheld, and club goals (liberty, prosperity) are advanced. Breaks ties in votes.

Section 2: Vice President: stands in for the Prez, handles internal disputes with a fair hand (or fist if needed). Oversees prospects and enforces discipline.

Section 3: Secretary: keeps records of meetings, ops logs, and club history. Manages comms: ship manifests, route plans, and encrypted channels.

Section 4: Treasurer: handles the club’s bank; collects dues, pays for fuel, weapons, and bail if it comes to that. Tracks prosperity goals—ensures we’re stacking credits without getting pinned down.

Section 5: Sergeant at Arms Enforces order, protects the club during rides or meets. Deals with threats: rival orgs, pirates, or law dogs sniffing around. Maintains the armory and ship defenses.

Section 6: Road Captain (Flight Lead) Plans nomadic routes: jump points, asteroid hides, or black market hubs. Leads formations in flight, scouts for ambushes, and ensures safe passage.

Section 7: Officer Removal Officers can be removed by a 2/3 vote for failing the brotherhood or club goals.

Article III: Meetings (Church)

Section 1: Frequency Regular Church: Monthly, or as called by the Prez. Location rotates—aboard a capital ship, a remote outpost, or in deep space. Emergency Church: For urgent ops, threats, or opportunities.

Section 2: Conduct Church is sacred: no outsiders, no recording, full attendance required unless on a sanctioned run. Agenda: Ops planning, vote on new prospects/members, financial reports, and brotherhood check-ins. All patched members vote equally; prospects observe silently. Decisions advance club goals: scouting new trade lanes, hitting a rich salvage site, or dodging UEE patrols—by any means that keep us free and prosperous.

Section 3: Quorum Half of patched members needed for votes; absent votes count as abstains.

  • Article IV: Conduct and Discipline

Section 1: Code of Brotherhood Loyalty above all: No ratting, no abandoning a brother in a dogfight, no stealing from the club. Respect the colors: Wear them proud, defend them fierce. Defacing colors is a one-way ticket out bad. Nomadic freedom: We don’t bow to stations or empires—roam as a pack, but solo flights are allowed if they feed back to the club. Advance by any means: Trade fair, salvage bold, or “acquire” what’s needed. But no needless heat that endangers the brotherhood.

Section 2: Disputes Brother vs. brother: Settled internally—fists, words, or Prez mediation. No outside law. Against outsiders: Club stands united; retaliation as voted.

Section 3: Discipline Minor infractions (late dues, sloppy flying): Fines or extra duties. Major (betrayal, endangering the club): Vote for punishment—fines, demotion, or out bad. No mercy for snitches or cowards.

Article V: Finances and Assets

Section 1: Club Property Shared assets: Club ships (e.g., a Carrack for nomad base, Hornets for escort), weapons, and credits. Personal gear stays personal, but club takes priority in ops.

Section 2: Prosperity Goals Club aims for collective wealth: Pool resources for big scores like mining ops or blockade runs. Distributions: Fair shares after ops, with bonuses for risk-takers.

Article VI: Alliances and Rivals

Alliances: Voted on; mutual aid with like-minded orgs, but no chains—liberty first.
Rivals: Handled as threats; protect our routes and hauls.

Article VII: Amendments

Bylaws can be amended by 3/4 vote at Church. Core principles (brotherhood, liberty, nomadic style) are untouchable. These bylaws are the thrusters that keep the Lucky Devils flying true.

Ride free, brothers—fortune favors the bold!
