HISTORY

MERC has had its humble beginnings on Earth during the early 21st century as a company that provided the government and law enforcement alike with facilities to train. It has grown rapidly since its conception into a company that provides services to the government in war zones with a combat role. Filling in roles for the military, providing armed escort and security details, reconnaissance and consultation. Throughout its history until the present day, MERCs tradition to hire mostly ex or current special forces members still holds true, ever raising its bar of excellence. However with the age of space travel MERC understood the need for more employees and that members from the SF world are hard to come by. So in 2491 MERC has begun hiring and training any who wished to join, however the training was the UNE SF standard and beyond.
