History

The Mutual Defense Initiative was created in 2952 as a force of UEE citizens joining together for collective aid and security under the Militia Mobilization Initiative. MDI operates as a more permanent Civilian Defense Force (CDF) unit rather than the temporary status of other CDF personnel. MDI often works as auxiliary forces for local systems needing assistance with security, logistics, reconnaissance, or search and rescue operations. While the Initiative is primarily a citizen’s militia the majority of the group’s activities include work for hire, logistics, and salvage operations until called to service.

Mutual Defense Initiative mission is to provide for the common defense of the UEE and assistance to lawful governments for the prosperity of the human species.

Code of Conduct
1.1 Members will treat each other with respect.
1.2 Members will make every effort to treat all citizens, civilians, and non humans with respect.
1.3 Discrimination will not be tolerated.
1.4 Members are required to use and follow the chain of command.
1.5 Members are not to undermine authority of ranking officers.
1.6 Members are required to follow all lawful orders of superior officers.
1.7 Distribution of explicit materials in not allowed (No NSFW).
Field/Theater Operations
2.1 Members are expected to render emergency aid to other members.
2.2 Members are to use all necessary force to defend themselves from any attack.
2.3 Members are expected to represent the force in a positive manner when communicating with lawful groups and individuals.
2.4 Members are not to engage in smuggling of any kind.
2.5 Members are not to engage in piracy.
2.6 Members must obtain prior authorization for raid operations.
2.7 Members are allowed and encouraged to participate in joint operations with allied groups.
2.8 Members are not expected to follow orders that are morally questionable or fire on any UEE entities.
