History

Founded in 2944, S.H.A.R.K. / MEGALODON began as a small, independent planetary mining outfit operating along the fringe of chartered UEE space. The original crew—only three haulers and a single refinery contract—formed the foundation of what would grow into one of the sector’s most disciplined and exploration-driven mining groups.

In its early years, the corporation focused on surveying unclaimed moons, mineral-rich asteroids, and high-risk frontier belts. These locations were often overlooked by large industrial syndicates due to instability, poor scans, or frequent pirate activity. Charter

I. Mission & Corporate Identity
§1.01 Corporate Mandate: S.H.A.R.K. / MEGALODON is committed to pushing the boundaries of frontier exploration, locating and securing rare resources, and converting diligent effort into significant profit. We are the spearhead of deep-space mineral extraction.
§1.02 Core Values: Every crew member operates under the principles of:
• Precision: Exactness in prospecting, surveying, extraction, and logistics. No resource is wasted, no calculation is approximate.
• Commitment: Unwavering dedication to the objective, the crew, and the Corporation. We see the job through, regardless of systemic risks.
• Solid Payouts: Honest work is rewarded with guaranteed, competitive profit shares. The Corporation’s success is the crew’s prosperity.
II. Code of Conduct & Professionalism
§2.01 Role Play (RP) Mandate: All operations, communications, and interactions within the Corporation and with external entities shall adhere to a Hardcore Role Play standard. Break of immersion (OOC chat) is strictly limited to designated secure channels and never used mid-operation.
§2.02 Chain of Command: The hierarchy must be respected and followed with precision. Orders from a designated Administrator, Captain, or operational lead are to be executed immediately and without question during a live mission. Disagreements are to be addressed post-mission in a private debriefing.
§2.03 Integrity and Theft: ZERO TOLERANCE for internal theft or misappropriation of corporate assets, including ship components, refined materials, or credits. Any confirmed breach of this trust will result in immediate discharge (D-T-D: Dropped-to-Die) and permanent blacklist.
§2.04 External Relations: Interaction with non-corporate entities (e.g., traders, independent pilots, other organizations) must maintain a professional and committed demeanor. Our reputation for precision is our armor; unnecessary conflict is costly and prohibited unless authorized defensive measures are required.
III. Operational & Extraction Procedures
§3.01 Pre-Operation Briefing: All crew members must attend and fully comprehend the mission brief, including designated roles, extraction zones, resource targets, and extraction protocols. Ignorance is not an excuse for failure.
§3.02 Extraction Protocol (Precision):
• Prospecting: Surveying resources must be meticulous to ensure the highest yield and quality. Do not waste valuable laser charge or time on sub-par veins.
• Resource Allocation: Extracted raw materials belong exclusively to the Corporation until processing and distribution have been completed.
• Ship Maintenance: All personnel are responsible for the immediate readiness of their assigned vehicle or equipment. A ship that cannot fly is a lost investment.
§3.03 Frontier Exploration: Crews must operate under the assumption that all uncharted systems are hostile. Commitment to operational security is paramount when pushing the boundaries of frontier exploration.
IV. Security & Defense Protocols
§4.01 Defensive Posture: While S.H.A.R.K. / MEGALODON is a mining corporation, we are a hardcore one. Security personnel are to maintain a ready defensive stance at all times.
§4.02 Asset Protection: Corporate mining vessels and cargo are priority assets. In the event of an attack (Piracy, Hostile Intervention), all personnel must dedicate themselves fully to the preservation of the cargo and the operational ship. Loss of ship due to cowardice or negligence will incur personal financial penalties.
§4.03 Rules of Engagement (ROE): Defensive fire is authorized upon hostile lock-on or direct attack. Retaliatory or punitive action must be approved by the operational lead. We only draw blood when profit is threatened.
V. Compensation & Accountability
§5.01 The Payout Commitment: S.H.A.R.K. / MEGALODON guarantees solid payouts based on the successful extraction, refinement, and sale of materials. Your contracted profit share will be disbursed promptly upon the completion of a successful logistics run.
§5.02 Accountability for Loss: Negligence, recklessness, or failure to follow protocol that results in the loss of corporate assets (ship, cargo, vehicles) will result in a reduction of accrued profit shares to cover replacement costs. Repeated infractions will lead to termination.
§5.03 Promotion & Advancement: Commitment and precision are the only metrics for advancement. Exceptional performance in hostile systems, discovery of new valuable veins, or demonstrated leadership will be recognized with rank increases and elevated profit shares.
Failure to adhere to this Charter is a breach of contract with the Corporation and will be dealt with severely.
