MERC / MERCPM

MERC was founded by two unlikely allies, Ryan Scott, a tactical mastermind, and Glitch Wolf, a brilliant hacker. Both veterans of countless interstellar conflicts, they shared a vision of creating a private military organization that would operate outside the boundaries of governments and corporations.

Origins

Their partnership began after surviving the bloody Skovak Incident, where Scott led a black-ops team and Wolf infiltrated enemy networks. Realizing the potential for a new kind of mercenary force, they combined their skills to build MERC—an organization capable of taking on the most dangerous and profitable jobs in the galaxy.

Early Operations

Scott and Wolf recruited a mix of ex-military, elite pilots, and hackers, assembling a team that was both disciplined and adaptable. MERC quickly earned a reputation for handling high-risk missions that others dared not take—everything from sabotage and rescue operations to black ops and asset retrieval.

Darnox V: The Crucible

MERC’s first major test came with the Darnox V Offensive, a brutal conflict where they were tasked with protecting a corporate convoy. What began as a straightforward job turned into a bloody nightmare when a third-party faction ambushed them. Despite heavy losses, MERC completed the mission, solidifying their place in the galaxy’s underworld. But the battle also left scars, teaching Scott and Wolf the true cost of their operations.

Expansion and Rivalries

Over the years, MERC expanded its influence, taking on contracts from corporations, governments, and criminal syndicates. Their operations spanned the galaxy, from urban warfare on Terra to deep space sabotage in Pyro. But with success came enemies—none more dangerous than the Obsidian Syndicate, a criminal cartel that targeted MERC in a series of brutal reprisals.D
