History
In the late 27th century, Militech International Armaments emerged within the Stanton System as one of humanity’s most aggressive private military conglomerates. Originally founded on Terra after the Messer Era’s collapse, Militech capitalized on the United Empire of Earth’s growing dependence on outsourced security during the expansion into fringe systems. While officially registered as a “defense logistics provider,” the corporation rapidly evolved into a full-spectrum PMC specializing in planetary pacification, anti-piracy operations, and black-budget weapons development.
Militech gained notoriety during the Second Tevarin Reconstruction Conflicts, where its armored marine divisions and autonomous combat drones were deployed alongside UEE Navy forces. Unlike traditional military contractors such as Crusader Security or Hurston Dynamics’ enforcement divisions, Militech operated with near-total autonomy, often negotiating directly with local governors and corporate boards rather than military command structures.
By 2940, Militech’s influence stretched across the Stanton and Pyro systems. Their signature doctrine — overwhelming firepower combined with psychological warfare — made them both feared and profitable. Citizens in outer colonies whispered about “Militech Compliance Fleets”: heavily armed Idris variants painted matte black, arriving in orbit before hostile takeovers or labor crackdowns.
The corporation’s rivalry with Hurston Dynamics became legendary. While Hurston focused on weapons manufacturing and planetary industry, Militech controlled the soldiers willing to use those weapons. This tension culminated in several proxy conflicts across unregulated systems, where entire mercenary battalions fought over mining rights, jump-point security, and alien artifact recoveries.
Despite repeated Senate investigations into war crimes and illegal AI experimentation, Militech survived through political leverage, strategic bribery, and its indispensable role in frontier security. Our mission is to protect allied personnel, corporate interests, trade operations, and civilian assets against piracy, insurgency, hostile forces, and all threats to regional stability.
