History Manifesto Charter

History

Meridian Interstellar was founded during a period when trade lanes were unstable, frontier systems were dangerous, and independent crews struggled to survive on their own. What began as a small coalition of naval pilots, industrial operators, and route runners grew into a unified interstellar organization built on the belief that survival in the ‘verse requires structure, coordination, and mutual support. Today, Meridian Interstellar operates as a fully integrated force spanning combat, industry, commerce, and exploration—protecting its own, building where others only extract, and pushing steadily into the unknown. Pilots choose Meridian not for ideology or conquest, but for security, purpose, and the promise of flying with an organization that has a future—not just a killboard.

Meridian Interstellar was founded by a group of players who wanted more than disconnected game play loops—we wanted a structured, cooperative organization where every role mattered and every operation felt connected. Built from the start as a multi-discipline org, M.I. unites combat, industry, commerce, science, and exploration under one banner to create a self-sustaining, player-driven ecosystem. Our long-term vision is to grow into a stable, respected presence in the ‘verse—capable of running large-scale operations while still keeping things fun, relaxed, and accessible. Players choose Meridian Interstellar because we offer organized game play without the toxicity or pressure, a place where new and veteran pilots alike can fly together, build something lasting, and enjoy the game as it’s meant to be played—with others.

Meridian Interstellar has four pillars in which we work from.

Below is a brief explanation of each:

Naval Corps

The Naval Corps is the combat and security backbone of Meridian Interstellar, responsible for fleet operations, system security, escorts, PvP and PvE combat, base and convoy defense, interdiction, and force projection. Whether it’s protecting industrial assets, enforcing space control, running large-scale fleet actions, or responding to threats during events and org ops, this division is where combat pilots, gunners, and tactical-minded players operate.

The Industrial Authority

The Industrial Authority drives the physical growth of the organization through mining, salvage, refining, manufacturing, construction, and engineering support. This division supplies the raw materials, ships, components, and infrastructure that keep M.I. running, from asteroid fields and wreck sites to refineries and future base building. If you like resource management, production chains, and building something that actually fuels the org, this is your home.

Commerce & Logistics

Commerce & Logistics is the economic engine and supply network of Meridian Interstellar, handling hauling, trade routes, cargo security coordination, inventory management, market operations, and operational resupply. This division ensures that materials move from source to refinery to market to front-line without chaos or waste, keeping fleets fueled, industry active, and credits flowing during both peaceful and hostile operations.

Frontier Research & Development

Frontier R&D is the exploration, science, medical, and testing wing of M.I., operating on the edge of known space to scan, chart, investigate, and support operations in dangerous or uncharted regions. This division handles exploration expeditions, scanning and data gathering, medical response, experimental game play testing, and forward reconnaissance, making it ideal for explorers, medics, scouts, and players who thrive on discovery and unknown-space risk.

Order Between the Stars

Humanity was never meant to remain planet-bound.
We were forged to expand, to build, to adapt, and to endure.

Yet the stars are not kind. They are indifferent. Chaotic. Unforgiving.

Meridian Interstellar exists because disorder is the greatest enemy of progress.

We do not seek to rule through fear.
We do not seek to burn the old worlds to build the new ones.
We seek only this:

Chaos is cheap. Anyone can sow it.

Order is expensive. It demands:

Civilization does not expand naturally into the void. It must be built, secured, supplied, and defended —one kilometer, one outpost, one jump point at a time.

Meridian Interstellar believes:

Article I – Name & Legal Standing

1. The organization shall be known as Meridian Interstellar, hereafter referred to as M.I.

2. Meridian Interstellar is constituted as an independent, multi-domain interstellar organization operating across military, industrial, scientific, exploration, and commercial sectors.

3. M.I. is recognized as a lawful, sovereign-operating entity, bound by internal regulation and external interstellar law where applicable.

Article II – Purpose & Mandate

Meridian Interstellar is founded to:

  1. Conduct coordinated military, industrial, scientific, exploratory, and commercial operations across human-occupied space.
  2. Secure, construct, explore, trade, research, and defend in support of long-term human expansion and stability.
  3. Maintain controlled access to high-value resources, logistics networks, and strategic operational zones.
  4. Operate as a stabilizing force in uncertain or contested regions.
  5. Balance profit, progress, and protection without ideological extremism.

Article III – Moral Alignment & Operational Doctrine

1. Meridian Interstellar adheres to a Lawful Neutral doctrine with pragmatic authority:

  • Law, structure, and order are prioritized.
  • Human life is preserved when reasonably possible.
  • Strategic withdrawal is permitted when total loss is imminent.
  • Tactical sacrifice may occur only when evacuation, delay, or preservation of greater assets is achieved.

2. Black market interaction is not prohibited, but is:

  • Regulated internally
  • Taxed, monitored, and strategically approved
  • Never allowed to endanger the organization’s long-term stability

3. M.I. does not engage in ideological warfare, religious crusades, or anarchic disruption.

Article IV – Organizational Structure

Meridian Interstellar shall be composed of the following primary divisions:

1. Military Fleet Division

Defensive and offensive naval operations
System security, fleet actions, and force projection

2. Industrial Fleet Division

Mining, refining, salvage, construction, and engineering

3. Scientific & Exploration Division

Research, medical science, xenological study, navigation, and frontier exploration

4. Trade & Commerce Division

Transport, logistics, market operations, contracts, and economic control

Each division shall operate under:

  • A Division Director
  • Sub-commanders as required by scale
  • Unified authority under the Council

Article V – Supreme Authority & Governance

1. Ultimate authority shall rest with the Directorate Council, comprised of:

  1. The Council
  2. All Division Directors

2. Powers of the Directorate include:

  1. Strategic doctrine
  2. War and peace authorization
  3. Asset control
  4. Expansion approval
  5. Sanctioning of black market operations

3. Decisions of existential scale require a supermajority vote.

Article VI – Membership & Internal Law

1. All members of Meridian Interstellar:

  1. Are subject to internal law, rank structure, and disciplinary code
  2. May be tried internally for violations

2. Rank, citizenship classification, and security clearance shall determine:

  2. Sensitive intelligence
  3. Strategic command authority

3. Treason, internal sabotage, asset theft, and unauthorized market destabilization are classified as Capital-Level Internal Crimes.

Article VII – Jurisdiction & Operational Reach

1. Meridian Interstellar claims no sovereign ownership of star systems, but asserts:

2. M.I. recognizes the authority of interstellar governments only when:

Mutual benefit is preserved.
Operational autonomy is not compromised.

1. Meridian Interstellar is a profit-generating organization, but not profit-worshiping.

2. Economic gain must support:

3. Starvation economics, exploitative collapse tactics, and destabilizing warfare-for-profit are forbidden doctrines.

Article IX – Amendment Authority

1. This Charter may be amended only by:

A two-thirds vote of the Directorate Council
Ratification by the Head of Council

2. Emergency wartime amendments may be enacted temporarily under unanimous Directorate approval.

By this Charter, Meridian Interstellar is hereby recognized as a unified interstellar authority, empowered to operate across all domains of space-faring activity in pursuit of stability, expansion, and controlled progress.

This Charter supersedes all prior provisional frameworks.
