Founded by a coalition of former UEE military officers, rogue explorers, and corporate defectors, The Uncharted Corporation emerged after a classified expedition vanished beyond mapped space.
Only one ship returned.
Its crew carried:

And a warning: “We are not alone out there.”
Instead of reporting their findings, they disappeared—reforming under a new banner:
