“Keep the lanes alive.”

LLG is a civilian industrial guild made up of haulers, miners, loaders, medics, mechanics, escorts, and fixers. It operates on the principle that freight is not abstract. When freight stops, people die, settlements fold, and the powerful buy up what is left.

History

The Lantern Line Guild began as an informal mutual-aid network among independent crews working freight and extraction contracts along the Baker routes. Xenia’s traffic brought haulers, loaders, and contract escorts together. GIO brought in miners, rig operators, and rough surface crews. The guild formalized when too many small settlements and contract crews were being treated as expendable by distant dispatchers, local fixers, and protection rackets.

At first, the guild only pooled escorts, medevac coverage, and spare parts. Then it started buying distressed cargo, retrieving abandoned loads, and rerouting time-sensitive shipments to colonies and outposts that had been cut off by raids, corruption, or “administrative delay.” As its reputation spread, the Lantern Line became known for a simple promise: if a community had been abandoned, but a route still existed, the Guild would find a way through.

The guild’s founding myth is that it was not created by idealists. It was created by people who were tired of watching decent crews get squeezed between pirates in the dark and suits in the light. The first Lantern crews learned fast that a neat invoice and a legal transponder do not make a run righteous, and a forged manifest does not always make it wrong.

Manifesto

We move what matters.
Cargo is survival. Industry is civilization.

We work first.
Mining, hauling, salvage, recovery, loading, refit, escort, and extraction are our trade.

We protect the route.
A lane that cannot be defended is not a lane. It is bait.

We favor the small.
Independent crews, frontier stations, stranded settlers, underpaid contractors, and abandoned colonies get priority over comfortable profiteers.

We do not worship legality.
Law is useful. Justice is eternal.

We are not pirates.
We do not prey on the weak, ransom civilians, traffic people, or raid for sport.

We remember the lesson of the old Empire.
When power becomes untouchable, decent people must become difficult to ignore.

Article VI. Restitution

Any member who harms a neutral party, breaches relief protections, or enriches themselves through prohibited predation is stripped of standing and may be hunted as guild-break.

Article VII. Mutual aid

No Lantern crew is left without extraction, medevac effort, or salvage attempt if recovery remains tactically possible.
