Hi! Welcome, welcome, what can we do for you today? Looking to buy or sell? Do you need something moved, or disposed of? Maybe you got skills in these departments, look for the small Recruitment sign in the back, and we’ll take care of you.
In the aftermath of the Messers’ collapse, when the UEE retreated from the fringes, Nyx became a crossroads for the lost and lawless. Delamar, once an asteroid mining facility, was overtaken by political exiles and anarchists who fled UEE oversight. They built Levski, a free city where trade, ideology, and survival intertwined.
Amid this fragile independence emerged Kade Vollen, a former UEE logistics analyst turned fugitive. When he exposed the embezzlement of relief shipments destined for frontier systems, the megacorp behind the scheme silenced his report—and marked him for death. Vollen escaped to Delamar, where he found a community built on ideals, but strangled by disorganization and lack of resources.
From the tunnels beneath Grand Barter, he began to rebuild the only thing he knew—a network.
At first, it was a simple encrypted courier ring linking smugglers, miners, and activists. But the network grew, connecting independent captains across Nyx, Pyro, and even Stanton. Trade routes. Intelligence leaks. Contraband exchanges. All under one silent banner: The Neon Syndicate.
Officially, the Syndicate calls itself a “distributed logistics cooperative.”
Unofficially, they’re the lifeline of Nyx’s underground economy.
They move what others can’t—or won’t:
Contraband and narcotics (Maze, Neon, Blaze).
Stolen tech and prototype components.
Humanitarian supplies for UEE blacklisted colonies.
Encrypted data for activists and mercenaries.
While many outlaw groups thrive on chaos, the Syndicate thrives on control.
Their routes are planned, their debts enforced, and their secrecy absolute.
The Syndicate’s reach extends well beyond Levski’s rock walls:
In Pyro, they manage “humanitarian” smuggling for enclaves cut off from trade.
In Stanton, they serve as quiet middlemen for corporate defectors and off-grid haulers.
In Nyx, they’re whispered about with a mix of fear and respect—the only organized shadow left in an ungoverned system.
Their operations are pragmatic, not ideological. They deal with anyone, from anti-UEE revolutionaries to rogue mercenary companies—so long as the data and credits flow both ways.
As UEE patrols grow bolder near the Nyx jump points, the Syndicate has gone further underground. Levski remains their spiritual heart, but many of their operations now run from mobile command ships—heavily modified Ironclads, Polarises, and even Perseuses that serve as encrypted trade hubs drifting through Nyx’s outer belt.
Rumors suggest the Syndicate’s latest project, Operation Prism, involves establishing a persistent shadow trade network spanning Nyx, Pyro, and Terra—allowing near-instant encrypted transactions between fringe systems. If true, the Syndicate may be evolving from a smuggling outfit into a dark parallel economy.
Levski locals often mark safe contacts by etching a small neon-blue triangle near their docking port seals.
It’s subtle, but if you know where to look—the Syndicate is everywhere.
“You can’t control the void. You can only light it—one glow at a time.”
— Kade Vollen, founder of the Neon Syndicate, recorded 2923.
We were born from silence, exiles beneath the rock of Delamar, where the Empire’s light does not reach.
We do not seek chaos — only balance.
We are the current between the systems, the quiet hum of movement that keeps the frontier alive.
We answer to no law but our own: the flow must never stop.
When the UEE forgets a world, when the corps choke a lane, when the pirates demand tribute —
the Syndicate moves unseen, bringing light through shadow.
We are the Neon Syndicate.
We deal in the dark so others don’t have to.
Purpose:
To maintain and protect independent trade, data, and freedom of movement within the unregulated systems of Nyx, Pyro, and beyond.

Flow must be maintained. Data, cargo, and credits move without interruption.
Information is currency. Never give it freely.
Neutrality is survival. We deal with all; allegiance is profit.
Exposure is death. The network survives by remaining unseen.
No one is above the code. Not even the Council.
