At the turn of the 21st century, as the climate of the earth warmed up, it became easier to traverse the northern pole, and as it became easier to sail the traitorous waters of the north pole it became clear that the next major shipping lanes connecting the east to the west would go through these once impassable wasters.

This opening of a new age silk road going through the once barren desserts of ice and snow in the north was noticed by many, among them were several smaller transportation and trading companies, that had quickly set up to take advantage of these new trade routes. In the beginning all these smaller companies fought among themself for ports and contracts, to farry people and cargo from east to west, but it would not last.
As time went by, and the importance of these northern trade routes became clear, larger more well established corporations began to set their sights on the north. With larger capital and more man power, these big corporations began to gradually take over more and more of the northern trade lanes, pushing the exciting smaller companies out of the region.

As company after company were pushed out of the north, some went bankrupt and other’s could only barely scrape by, and as it seems like the northern trade lanes would be taken over by bigger more well established corporations, the smaller companies saw only one solution. In a small arctic town in the north of Norway, all the Presidents and Founders of the remaining companies scattered along the arctic coset gathered with one goal in mind, and so it was that the Nordic Alliance was born.
