History
The Nebula Explorers is a clandestine syndicate of independent pilots who escaped the rigid authority of the United Empire of Earth (UEE) to seek freedom and opportunity among the stars. Rejecting the constraints of bureaucracy and centralized control, they carved out a nomadic existence on the fringes of charted space. Known for their resourcefulness and unparalleled knowledge of uncharted regions, the Nebula Explorers operate as a loosely organized collective, bound by mutual trust and the pursuit of discovery.
Operating in the shadowy voids beyond UEE-controlled systems, the syndicate thrives on exploring mysterious phenomena, salvaging ancient relics, and uncovering forgotten star systems. Their ships are a patchwork of salvaged technology and advanced modifications, tailored for long-term survival in the deep unknown. Despite their reputation as outlaws in UEE propaganda, the Nebula Explorers are guided by a code of honour that emphasizes mutual aid, respect for the sanctity of space, and a commitment to preserving its wonders for future generations.
Other factions fear and respect them, viewing them as enigmatic wanderers who are as likely to share valuable navigational data as they are to defend their autonomy with ferocious tenacity. For the Nebula Explorers, every nebula, star, and black hole is a chance to push the boundaries of human understanding and secure their place as masters of the untamed cosmos.
Manifesto
“We are the Nebula Explorers, a collective of free spirits and bold adventurers who chart the uncharted and thrive beyond the reach of control. Born from the shadows of oppression, we fled the United Empire of Earth to reclaim the stars as our own—free from borders, rules, and the chains of conformity.
We answer to no empire, no bureaucracy. Instead, we follow the code of the void: respect the cosmos, protect your own, and never stop seeking the next horizon.
To some, we are outlaws; to others, pioneers. But to us, we are simply explorers, guardians of the wonders of space. Wherever the nebulae swirl and the stars whisper their secrets, you’ll find us. We are the Nebula Explorers. And this galaxy? It’s only the beginning.”
Charter
Respect the Unknown:
Preserve the integrity of uncharted worlds and cosmic phenomena. Exploration is a privilege, not a right.
Freedom Above All:
No member may impose control or restrictions upon another. Every explorer charts their own course.
Share the Wonders:
Valuable discoveries—maps, artifacts, or data—are to be shared within the syndicate to benefit all members.
Protect the Stars:
Do not exploit or destroy the resources of a system without reason. The cosmos is not ours to own, only to witness.
Aid in Need:
When a fellow Explorer is in distress, it is our duty to assist, regardless of personal risk or cost.
Defend Our Freedom:
Any threat to the autonomy of the Nebula Explorers must be met with unity and resolve.
Leave No Trace:
Inhabited or pristine systems must be left as they were found, with minimal interference.
Seek the Boundless:
Always strive to go further, discover more, and push the boundaries of human understanding.
Honor the Syndicate:
Betrayal, theft, or intentional harm toward fellow Explorers is the gravest sin and will result in exile.
The Void is Neutral:
Avoid entanglement in political conflicts unless the survival of the syndicate demands it.
