History

The ORBITT (Operations, Research and Battle Institute for Terran Technology) organization was founded in 2892 in response to a growing threat from Vanduul raids. Initially established as a research institution, the organization quickly adapted to a more military-focused role as the threat from the Vanduul grew more severe.

ORBITT became known for its expertise in developing advanced military technology and tactics to combat the Vanduul threat. The organization played a pivotal role in the Second Tevarin War, where they developed and deployed cutting-edge weapons and spacecraft that proved decisive in the conflict.

Since then, ORBITT has continued to innovate and develop advanced technology for the military, earning a reputation as one of the most skilled and respected military research and development organizations in the galaxy. Today, ORBITT remains at the forefront of developing the latest technology and tactics to defend against threats to the United Empire of Earth.

Manifesto

We, the members of the Operations, Research and Battle Institute for Terran Technology (ORBITT), are united in our pursuit of technological advancement and military excellence in service to the United Empire of Earth. We believe that the strength of our civilization depends on our ability to innovate, adapt and overcome any challenge that stands in our way.

We pledge to use our expertise in operations, research and battle to develop and deploy cutting-edge technologies that enhance our military capabilities and secure our borders. We recognize that our enemies are constantly evolving and we must do the same to stay ahead.

We commit to fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity and excellence within ORBITT, and to sharing our knowledge and resources with our allies in the pursuit of common goals. We will always put the safety and security of the UEE and its citizens above our own interests.

Through our work, we aim to ensure that the UEE remains at the forefront of technological innovation and military prowess, and that we are prepared to defend our way of life against any threat, foreign or domestic.

Charter

Article I: Name and Purpose
Section 1. The name of this organization is ORBITT, which stands for Operations, Research and Battle Institute for Terran Technology.
Section 2. The purpose of ORBITT is to conduct research and development, as well as to train and equip military forces to defend the Terran civilization from external threats.

Article II: Membership
Section 1. Membership in ORBITT is open to all Terran citizens who are of good character and committed to the organization’s purpose.
Section 2. Membership is granted upon completion of basic training and acceptance of the ORBITT Code of Conduct.

Article III: Governance
Section 1. ORBITT shall be governed by a Board of Directors, which shall consist of the Director of Operations, Director of Research, and Director of Battle.
Section 2. The Board of Directors shall be responsible for overseeing the organization’s activities and making decisions in the best interest of ORBITT.

Article IV: Finances
Section 1. ORBITT shall be funded by Terran government grants and private donations.
Section 2. All funds shall be managed by the Director of Operations and subject to annual financial audits.

Article V: Amendments
Section 1. This charter may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the Board of Directors.
Section 2. Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing to the Director of Operations at least 30 days prior to the vote.

Article VI: Dissolution
Section 1. ORBITT may be dissolved by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors.
Section 2. In the event of dissolution, all remaining assets shall be donated to Terran organizations dedicated to the defence of the Terran civilization.
