History
The Ark of the Stars
Founded in 2942, the Order of the Radiant Cross began not in a cathedral, but in the hold of a battered MISC Reliant. Its founder, Father Elias Thorne, was a chaplain on a UEE frontier colony that was devastated by a Vanduul raid. In the aftermath, Thorne realized that the vastness of the ‘Verse often left the faithful isolated and vulnerable.
He preached that the stars were not merely cold fusion reactors, but “the fingerprints of the Creator,” and that humanity’s expansion into the Stanton and Pyro systems was a divine calling to bring light into the void. The Order gained traction during the 2940s by providing medical relief and spiritual sanctuary to independent miners and weary haulers. Today, the Order operates a nomadic fleet known as the Covenant Flotilla, anchored by several Apollo-class clinic ships and heavily armed escorts. They do not claim territory; instead, they claim the duty of care for any soul drifting between the jump points.

We, the members of the Order of the Radiant Cross, believe that the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork. In a universe often defined by corporate greed and lawless violence, we stand as a beacon of the Eternal Word.
Stewardship of the ‘Verse: We explore the unknown not for profit, but to witness the majesty of creation and to protect its resources for future generations. The Good Samaritan Protocol: No distress signal shall go unanswered. Whether UEE, Civilian, or Outlaw, we provide aid to the physical body so that we may offer peace to the soul. Light in the Darkness: We oppose the encroaching shadows of piracy and nihilism. We carry the sword only to protect the weak, and the shield only to harbor the innocent.Charter
Code of the Wayfarer
Every member of ORCROSS (known as a “Cross-Bearer”) is bound by these laws under the gaze of the Almighty:
Article I: The Sanctity of Life. Combat is a last resort. We do not strike first, but we strike with the strength of conviction when defending the helpless. Article II: Tithe of Talent. Every member shall dedicate a portion of their earnings or time to the “Mercy Fund,” used to replace lost ships for new players and provide medical supplies for the fleet. Article III: Conduct in Spectrum. We represent the Faith. Malicious behavior, “griefing,” and dishonorable conduct are strictly forbidden. We speak with grace, seasoned with salt. Article IV: Unity of the Body. While we may have different roles—Pilots, Marines, Medics, or Miners—we are one body. Internal strife is to be resolved through the Council of Deacons. Article V: Law of the Land. We respect the laws of the UEE and local jurisdictions, provided they do not infringe upon the higher moral laws of our faith.
