Welcome brothers and sisters to your new home in The Obsidian Dragoons!

History

The Obsidian Dragoons were forged in the crucible of the Vega II invasion. When the Vanduul horde tore through the system, a scattered group of veteran Navy pilots, hardened industrial miners, and corporate security assets refused to break. Left behind by the shifting frontlines, they banded together under a single emergency frequency. Operating out of an abandoned asteroid silo, they launched brutal, asymmetric strikes against the invaders, saving hundreds of civilian lives before the UEE could rally.

Following the armistice, these survivors refused to disband. They recognized that the UEE’s borders were expanding faster than the military could protect them. Rebranding as a formalized Private Military Company (PMC), the group officially registered as The Obsidian Dragoons. They brought with them the unbreakable discipline of their naval roots, combined with the ruthless efficiency required to survive in the corporate frontier.

Today, The Obsidian Dragoons operate across all major sectors of the Stanton system and deep into Pyro’s lawless frontiers. We have evolved into a premier multi-role PMC, executing high-stakes tactical contracts, securing high-yield industrial mining corridors, and projecting force wherever our clients require absolute security. Guided by our founding principles of tactical excellence, ironclad loyalty, and fiscal dominance, we remain an unyielding wall against the chaos of the deep black.

Manifesto

I. The Chain of Command

Absolute Authority: Orders issued by the High Command or designated Field Commanders during operations are absolute and non-negotiable.
Operational Autonomy: Element leaders possess tactical autonomy to adapt to changing battlefield conditions, provided the primary objective is met.
Discipline Under Fire: Communications channels must remain clear of non-essential chatter during active combat sorties and high-risk maneuvers.

II. Engagement and Combat Ethics

Contract Integrity: Once a contract is accepted, the Dragoons will deploy maximum force to ensure complete fulfillment, regardless of opposition.
Collateral Mitigation: Operations must minimize unnecessary destruction to civilian infrastructure to preserve the corporate reputation of the PMC.
Hostile Neutralization: Threats to Dragoon assets, personnel, or contracted clients will be met with overwhelming, decisive retaliatory force.

III. Asset Protection and Logistics

No Pilot Left Behind: Recovery of downed personnel, black boxes, and company spacecraft takes precedence over secondary mission objectives.
Resource Conservation: Members are accountable for the maintenance and readiness of all assigned corporate armaments and fleet vessels.
Logistical Supremacy: Combat wings must operate in lockstep with logistics units to ensure continuous refueling, repair, and re-arm capabilities in the field.

IV. Professional Conduct and Espionage

Information Security: Operational parameters, jump coordinates, and client data are strictly classified and forbidden from external transmission.
Inter-Org Diplomacy: Official diplomatic statements, non-aggression pacts, and alliance negotiations are handled solely by the Command Staff.
Zero Tolerance: Espionage, insubordination, or treasonous actions against the organization will result in immediate discharge and active blacklisting.

Charter

THE ORG CHARTER

1. By philosophy, we are “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” community. That said, that does not mean members will not help you, it just means you should try and accomplish things on your own first, with creative thinking, before asking for help. If you find yourself really needing help… it is best to first make friends within the community and help others, before asking in guild chat, Discord or other community communication locations that you need help finishing a quest. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, just don’t demand or expect it “right this second”. Using Discord helps alot to getting help, as people can respond much faster.

2. The Founder and Creator of the ORG will retain “ownership” of the Org in Star Citizen. If temporary leadership responsibilities are passed off due to any circumstance, the understanding is that the creator of the guild may reclaim or retain “ownership” and/or “Org Leader” of the Org. The creator of the Org will hold a specific titled position that “owns” the Org tag that can be separate from the “Org Leader” position.

3. Your character must have a “Roleplayer” acceptable name. eg. XxXx , R3bPw0nz0r88, IamJoe#1

No names that reference well known people, places and characters in the real world
eg. Britneyspears, Newyork, Mcdonalds

More obscure names from pop-culture content will still be accepted
eg. Rita Skeeter (HP reference), Izuna (Naruto reference), Cassandra Cain (Batman ref)

First Names should not contain any adjectives (hunk, sexy, red, big, angry), verbs (swim, write, push), objects (hammer, table, steel) or animals.

Family(Last) names AND Code names are less restrictive and up to the decision of the GM.

4. Harassment: There is no tolerance for harassing someone personally. You can disagree with someone, without attacking the person directly. Guild Leaders and the Community Leader have the ability to remove or ban anyone, regardless of rank, for harassment.

5. No targeting medics, these are war crimes and make our Org look bad.
