Some call them heroes.
Others call them Vigilantes.
But they call themselves The Mustard Police

Looking Back

The Mustard Police were founded many centuries ago, in the year 2013. Criminals ran amok in the lowly town of Mytholmroyd, and corrupt police officials did nothing to stop the frequent attacks on the humble citizens of the sleepy village.

In the depths of the valley two heroes emerged, driving a mustard yellow Nissan Datsun 510. Their names were Gary Jones and John Stone, and they would be forever immortalized as the Mustard Police.

These two heroes fearlessly beat back the villainous scum, driving it out of the town for good. Over time, they accumulated more support and more members joined, such as the ferocious Alan Moore and the resilient Eric Price. In two years, the Mustard Police force had cleaned up the streets of West Yorkshire for good, disposing of the corrupt officials and crooks alike, and restoring the once peaceful area of Yorkshire to its former glory.

Intermediary Years

From humble beginnings, the Mustard Police grew to be a force to be reckoned with, and by the end of the century had amassed over 4500 members worldwide. By 2450, the Police were an organisation that ran galaxy-wide, beating back corruption and scoundrelism wherever it could be found. This continued for many long and prosperous years, until the year 2603.

2603 – The Second Tavarin War

Whilst caught up defending UPE systems in the outbreak of war, the Mustard Police’s home system, Tanga, was attacked by criminal spies, planted in amongst the ranks of Mustard Policemen and women. All Mustard Officers were called to return to base at once, and an emergency distress call was sent out to the UEE. As the Officers all honed in on the Mustard Head Office orbiting Tanga I, the besieging criminals all at once turned and fled, jumping out of range in unison.

Celebrations were shortlived as a bomb went off in the center of the star Tenga, causing rapid solar expansion and torching Tanga I and everyone nearby, turning them into dust.

Rebirth

The year was 2944. Four descendants of the once glorious Mustard Police traveled to the Tanga system, in search of answers. Miraculously, an abandoned station orbiting Tanga II still remained, a remnant of a past that was all but forgotten. Discovering ancient caches of information and equipment, the adventurers swore their Oaths of Mustard Policemanship, and vowed to never let the fate that befell their ancestors also befall them. They would remain vigilant to the cause, and seek revenge on the criminal organisation who so cruelly destroyed their namesake.

The Mustard Police were born once again.
