We’re a private crew of professionals doing acquisition work the legal teams like to call “grey zone operations.” Ex-military, ex-security, some just ex-something. We run clean, tight, and fast.
It’s not personal, it’s just business—and business usually ends with someone else’s ship in our hangar.
Founded in the years following the Second Tevarin War, Quarterdeck Mercantile began as a modest venture by a group of former military officers, skilled mercenaries, and enterprising traders. At its core, Quarterdeck Mercantile was conceived as a hybrid entity—part professional security company, part smuggler’s haven—and was built upon a foundation of experience, cunning, and an undeniable thirst for profit and full scale military operations
At Quarterdeck Mercantile, our goals are clear, our methods refined, and our commitment unshakable. We are a professional Private Military Company (PMC) with a pragmatic approach, operating in the space between law and chaos. Our business is one of precision, efficiency, and discretion, delivering results that speak louder than any promises. Now as a PMC we will act as a Military with trainings and organized rank structures to provide a fun and milsim experience
1. Professional Conduct:
Respect the Chain of Command:
All members must respect the authority of their superiors and follow orders swiftly and efficiently. We are a hierarchical organization, and adhering to the chain of command ensures smooth operations and successful missions.
Maintain High Standards of Behavior:
While our work may be unconventional, our conduct is always professional. In public or in private, we must maintain respect for our allies, clients, and even competitors. Impromptu or unnecessary actions that harm the organization’s reputation will not be tolerated.
2. Loyalty and Integrity:
Honor Contracts:
Quarterdeck Mercantile operates on its word. We take pride in fulfilling our obligations and delivering on every contract with unwavering reliability. A mission’s success is only as good as the trust between us and our clients—our reputation depends on it.
Honesty in Dealings:
Transparency is vital. Members are expected to engage in fair trade and honest exchanges. Any act of deception or exploitation of clients, allies, or fellow members for personal gain will result in immediate expulsion.
3. Discipline and Accountability:
Complete Missions with Precision:
We are a results-driven organization. Every mission should be executed with the utmost accuracy and professionalism. Failure to meet expectations or underperforming consistently is unacceptable.
Answer for Your Actions:
Every member of Quarterdeck Mercantile is accountable for their actions, both on and off the job. Disciplinary action will be taken for any unprofessional behavior, including insubordination, negligence, or breach of confidentiality. Any infraction will be reviewed thoroughly, and actions will be taken accordingly.
4. No Excessive Aggression or Unnecessary Conflict:
Minimize Unprovoked Violence:
While we are a mercenary organization, we do not seek unnecessary conflict. Aggression is a tool we wield with purpose, not an end in itself. Engaging in unnecessary violence or creating avoidable hostilities will not be tolerated.
Protect the Reputation of the Organization:
Public actions, whether related to business dealings or personal behavior, reflect on the entire organization. Members must always act in ways that maintain the reputation of Quarterdeck Mercantile as a professional entity.
5. No Unauthorized Activities:
Adhere to the Laws and Client Agreements:
All members must adhere to the laws and regulations that govern the galaxy. However, we will bend these laws when the job requires it. What matters is that we comply with the terms of our contracts—we do not operate outside of agreed-upon parameters unless directed by the command structure.
No Unauthorized Operations:
Taking on contracts or missions without the proper authorization from the leadership is prohibited. Any unauthorized action jeopardizes the safety, success, and professionalism of the organization and will result in immediate disciplinary action.
6. Respect the Organization’s Assets and Resources:
Proper Use of Resources:
All equipment, vehicles, and resources owned by Quarterdeck Mercantile are to be used responsibly. Misuse or theft of organizational assets will result in immediate expulsion and potential legal consequences.
Equipment Maintenance:
Members are responsible for maintaining any equipment provided to them, and all tools and vehicles must be kept in working condition for the benefit of the organization. Members should report any damage or malfunctions immediately for repair or replacement.
7. Privacy and Confidentiality:
Respect Confidential Information:
As a professional organization, we handle sensitive information regarding our clients, operations, and internal dealings. Breach of confidentiality is a severe offense and will result in immediate expulsion. Keep organizational secrets within the confines of the operation, and only share with those who are authorized to know.
Data Security:
Any digital communication, files, or assets that belong to Quarterdeck Mercantile should be secured and protected from unauthorized access. Failure to protect proprietary information can result in severe penalties.
8. Commitment to Teamwork:
Collaborative Efforts:
Quarterdeck Mercantile thrives because we work as a team. Members are expected to collaborate effectively and contribute to group efforts. Selfishness, sabotage, or failure to work as part of the team is unacceptable.
Respect Fellow Members:
Every member, regardless of rank, deserves respect. Differences in opinion or strategy should be settled through constructive dialogue, not conflict. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for all members.
9. No Piracy or Unlawful Acts Outside of Operations:
Adhere to Operational Rules:
While our work may exist in the gray areas of the law, members are forbidden from engaging in personal acts of piracy, extortion, or robbery outside of the organization’s contracted operations. Personal greed or lawless actions will result in disciplinary measures and potential dismissal.
10. Continuous Improvement:
Strive for Excellence:
We constantly seek to improve ourselves and the organization. All members should aim to better their skills, knowledge, and understanding of operations. Training is ongoing, and excellence is always the goal.
