History

Reaper Defense Group was founded by a small group of former UEE military personnel, security contractors, and independent pilots who shared a common belief: there would always be places where official forces could not respond quickly enough.

What began as a modest security outfit quickly developed into a professional defence organization specializing in convoy protection, reconnaissance, corporate security, and high-risk recovery operations. RDG initially focused on contracts considered too dangerous for conventional security companies, yet too insignificant or politically inconvenient for the UEE to handle directly.

During its early years, the company operated with a limited fleet and a small number of highly experienced personnel. Its reputation was built through difficult assignments on the fringes of civilized space, where crews were often forced to operate with limited support and little margin for error. Rather than relying on superior numbers or resources, RDG developed a doctrine centered around preparation, discipline, and completing the objective under adverse conditions.

The turning point in the company’s history came during a major convoy protection operation. The convoy was attacked by a significantly larger pirate force, leaving several civilian vessels critically exposed. Despite suffering heavy losses, RDG forces remained engaged long enough for the majority of the convoy to escape. The operation nearly crippled the young company, but it established a reputation that would define RDG for decades: once Reaper Defense Group accepts a contract, abandoning the mission is not considered an option.

Following the incident, RDG expanded its operations and began accepting increasingly complex contracts. Its fleet grew, new operational divisions were established, and experienced veterans from across the UEE joined its ranks.

Today, Reaper Defense Group operates as an independent private defence organization. Its contracts range from corporate security and armed escorts to reconnaissance, search and rescue, tactical operations, and hostile-area recovery.

RDG maintains that it is not an extension of the UEE military, nor does it seek to replace it. The company exists to provide protection where its clients require it, operating within its own strict rules of engagement and professional code.

Its reputation, however, has come at a price. To some, RDG represents professionalism and reliability in an increasingly dangerous galaxy. To others, it is simply another private military organization willing to operate where the law becomes difficult to enforce.

CORPORATE CHARTER

PREAMBLE

Reaper Defense Group exists to provide reliable protection in an unpredictable universe.

We were founded on the principle that when lives, assets, and missions are placed in our care, responsibility cannot be delegated, delayed, or abandoned.

This Charter defines the principles by which Reaper Defense Group operates and the standards expected of every person who carries its name.

ARTICLE I — PURPOSE

Reaper Defense Group shall provide professional defence, security, reconnaissance, logistics, recovery, and tactical services to its clients and partners.

Our purpose is simple:

Protect what we are entrusted with. Accomplish what we are contracted to do. Bring our people home.

ARTICLE II — THE MISSION

Every operation begins with a clearly defined objective.

The mission shall guide our actions, our preparation, and our decisions.

Objectives may change. Conditions may deteriorate. Plans may fail.

The mission does not cease to matter because circumstances become difficult.

ARTICLE III — OUR PEOPLE

No operator stands alone.

Every member of RDG is responsible for the safety, reputation, and effectiveness of the organization.

We expect discipline, competence, accountability, and loyalty.

We do not abandon our own.

ARTICLE IV — THE CLIENT

A contract represents trust.

RDG shall honor its commitments, protect its client’s interests, and maintain professional conduct regardless of operational difficulty.

We will not promise what we cannot deliver.

We will not accept responsibility and then walk away from it.

ARTICLE V — FORCE

Force is a means to an objective, never the objective itself.

RDG personnel shall operate with discipline, proportionality, and clear rules of engagement.

We do not seek unnecessary conflict.

When conflict becomes unavoidable, we are prepared to finish it.

ARTICLE VI — ACCOUNTABILITY

Every decision has a consequence.

Commanders are accountable for their orders. Operators are accountable for their actions. Leadership is accountable for the organization.

Failure may be forgiven.

Negligence is not.

Mistakes are studied, corrected, and remembered.

ARTICLE VII — THE STANDARD

Our reputation is earned one mission at a time.

We will be measured not by what we claim, but by what we accomplish when conditions are at their worst.

When communications fail, we adapt.

When support disappears, we continue.

When others withdraw, we hold the line.

ARTICLE VIII — THE OATH

Every member of Reaper Defense Group accepts this Charter upon joining the organization.

By carrying the RDG insignia, they accept the responsibility that comes with it.

We protect our people.
