How do I enter the referral code?

Enter STAR-JTV7-FXLR in the referral field during account registration, not the checkout coupon box. Check the field before completing signup.

Follow the step-by-step signup instructions

What does a referral code look like?

A Star Citizen player referral code starts with STAR- followed by two groups of four letters or numbers.

The code used here is STAR-JTV7-FXLR.

Why use a referral code?

An eligible referral adds the standard currency bonus without an extra referral charge. Temporary promotions may offer additional rewards under separate conditions.

The standard benefit is not exclusive to this code. If a friend already plays, you can use their code instead.

Can I add a code after creating an account?

Eligibility depends on the account’s age and whether a referral code is already attached. An attached code cannot be replaced.

Check whether your existing account can still add a code

Are UEC and aUEC the same?

No. Account UEC and the temporary currency used in the alpha are different balances. Do not assume the referral bonus immediately increases your current alpha wallet.

Does Star Citizen have coupons or discounts?

Subscriber coupons and discounted Game Packages have their own conditions. A referral code provides in-game benefits, not money off your purchase.

When does Star Citizen have sales?

Some events make additional ships available; others include selected discounts. A ship appearing in a sale is not automatically cheaper.

Check the final price and whether an offer requires new money rather than store credit.

What is the cheapest way to start?

Compare the lowest-priced current Game Packages that include Star Citizen game access. Prices, offers and taxes can change.

A standalone ship does not include game access by itself.

Which starter package should I choose?

Choose according to your budget and the activities you want to try. You do not need an expensive ship to begin.
