History
From the Sois to the Stars.
The origins of SA-LENG INTERSTELLAR (THAILAND) are rooted in a simple philosophy that dates back centuries on Earth: “Where others see waste, we see opportunity.”
Founded by a close-knit group of Thai freelance pilots in the Stanton System, the organization began as a loose collective of independent traders and scavengers. Tired of the rigid bureaucracy of the UEE and the predatory contracts of mega-corporations, these pilots decided to form their own unity. They adopted the moniker “Saleng”—a tribute to the agile, hardworking street merchants of old Thailand who kept commerce moving through the tightest alleyways.
What started as a small convoy of Cutlasses and Freelancers hunting for scrap has evolved into a premier logistics and acquisition network. We gained a reputation not just for hauling cargo, but for having the sharpest eyes in the verse. Whether it’s recovering rare artifacts from a derelict wreck in the Yela belt or sourcing exclusive, limited-run distinct outfits from the fringes of Vanduul space, SA-LENG became the go-to name for those seeking the hard-to-find.
Today, SA-LENG INTERSTELLAR stands as a brotherhood of free men—explorers, traders, and collectors—who roam the galaxy with the freedom of the open road and the unity of a family.
Manifesto
We Are the Curators of the Void.
SA-LENG INTERSTELLAR (THAILAND) is driven by three core tenets: Freedom, Unity, and Discovery.
We reject the notion that a pilot must be a cog in a corporate machine. We believe that the freelancer is the lifeblood of the economy. Our motives are simple: to explore the unknown, to trade fairly, and to acquire the rarest assets the universe has to offer.
Our Views:
Value is Everywhere: From high-volume commodity trading to a single, rare helmet found in a bunker, we understand the market better than anyone.
The Outfit Makes the Man: We pride ourselves on style. We are the experts in rare fashion and distinct armor. If it exists, we will find it, wear it, or sell it for a premium.
Strength in Brotherhood: While we value individual freedom, we are a unity. When one Saleng rides, he rides with the weight of the organization behind him. We play together to thrive together.
We are not pirates, and we are not soldiers. We are the masters of opportunity.
Charter
The Code of the Road.
All members of SA-LENG INTERSTELLAR (THAILAND) are expected to abide by the following rules to ensure a fun, profitable, and respectful environment.
1. Real Life First We are a unity of men who love to play together, but we respect that life outside the cockpit comes first. Family, work, and health take priority over the grind.
2. Unity & Respect Treat fellow members like brothers. Toxic behavior, harassment, or drama will not be tolerated. We are here to enjoy the game, not to fight among ourselves.
3. Fair Share When operating in a multi-crew setting or an organized convoy, profits are split fairly according to the agreement made before launch. A Saleng never cheats his partner.
4. The Freelancer’s Freedom Members are free to pursue their own personal goals, side hustles, and exploration. Mandatory operations are rare; however, when the call goes out for a major trade run or event, participation is encouraged.
5. Reputation Management While we are free spirits, we are not griefers. Do not engage in unprovoked piracy or actions that would tarnish the reputation of SA-LENG within the Thai or global Star Citizen community.
