Based in Pyro, the Seanut Conservation Syndicate aims to end the unethical consumption of seanuts in the Pyro system and beyond.
The syndicate will do whatever necessary to achieve our aims, including but not limited to: infiltration, intimidation, murder, and looting.
History
At first, humanity newly arrived in the Pyro system dismissed seanuts as curiosities and did not even bother to name the grub-like creatures. However shortly after, there was a food shortage on a decaying station, humans discovered that seanuts were not only a highly abundant and resilient species capable of rapid reproduction, but were also edible.
Shortly after this discovery, a lucrative intergalactic trade in seanuts emerged. The Pyro system’s demand for these exotic grub-like creatures outpaced their native ecosystem’s ability to sustainably provide them. At first, nobody bothered to question the adoption and practice of eating these creatures, even some preferring to eat them live. Unscrupulous traders started exploiting seanut populations, leading to overharvesting and ecological imbalances in their native environments.
Concerns about the ethical and environmental consequences of seanut consumption grew, though the concerns were quickly dismissed by the various factions within Pyro due to self-interest in providing food for their gang members.
The Seanut Conservation Syndicate (SCS) was founded in 2953, to bring those against seanut consumption together to stop and prevent the exploitation of this unique and vital species from within the diverse factions within Pyro and the wider galaxy.
Manifesto
The Seanut Conservation Syndicate aims to end the consumption of seanuts within Pyro and prevent their consumption from spreading outside the system.
As a faction-agnostic organization, the SCS desires recruits, members, and leaders from across the Pyro system as well as throughout the galaxy.
The syndicate will use whatever means necessary to achieve this aim.
Charter
All Seanut Conservation Syndicate are expected to always abide by the following:
- Never consume any seanut, no matter need for sustenance
- Bring justice to those that are seen selling or consuming seanuts to the best of one’s ability
- Conduct missions involving infiltration, intimidation, murder, looting, and whatever else required of them by those of higher rank in the syndicate
- Maintain secrecy about membership in the syndicate
Outside of the above, syndicate members are free to act as they see fit.
However, any potential violations of the above will be investigated and acted upon as appropriate.
