Seriyu (青龍) was founded during DefenseCon 2956, born from a vision to carry the spirit of Kyoto’s ancient defenders into the vast, turbulent expanse of the ’verse. In an age marked by rapid expansion and hollow alliances, our founders recognized a simple truth: longevity is built on principle. We turned to the old ways—traditions of honor, discipline, and the refined martial culture of a time long passed.

Charter
Article I: The Oath of Fidelity (Kishōmon / 起請文)
Exclusive Affiliation
Members of Seriyu are expected to maintain full allegiance to the organization. Active participation in other Star Citizen organizations is not permitted.
Organizational Redaction
Members must not publicly represent, promote, or affiliate with external organizations. Prior affiliations are to be set aside upon entry into Seriyu.
Sincerity of Intent
Membership is an oath of character. We seek individuals who are thoughtful, loyal, and composed in both word and action.
Article II: Standards of Conduct
Wa (和) — Harmony
Members uphold respectful communication and disciplined conduct at all times.
Conflict Avoidance
Unnecessary conflict is to be avoided. Members are expected to maintain a calm, stable, and respectful environment.
Decorum
Disruptive, aggressive, or erratic behavior is not tolerated.
Discipline
Standards are enforced consistently. Members are expected to uphold them without reliance on repeated warnings.
Expulsion
Disregard for our doctrine, culture, or harmony (Wa) will result in removal from Seriyu.
Outside
Members cannot speak on behalf of our community to outsiders unless specifically assigned to do so.
Article III: Martial Dedication & Mastery
Commitment to Mastery
Members are expected to actively develop expertise within their chosen discipline—Combat, Science, or Industry.
The Anti-Zerg Principle
We reject excess ship purchasing and accumulation for its own sake, valuing maximum skill first and foremost.
Ship Discipline
Members are expected to operate vessels they are committed to mastering.
Defensive Readiness
All members must be capable of defending themselves and supporting other members when required.
Article IV: Cultural Immersion
Cultural Alignment
Members should possess a genuine interest in Japanese culture, history, or language—or a sincere willingness to learn.
Naming Conventions
Ships and operational identifiers are expected to follow Japanese-inspired naming to maintain immersion.
Language
English is the primary language, but we also use some Japanese.
Article V: Operational Logistics
Discord Requirement
Active participation in the organization’s Discord server is mandatory for communication, coordination, and operations.
Age Requirement
Membership is restricted to individuals aged 18 and above.
Regional Focus
Primary activity aligns with Oceania/Asia mornings and European evenings.
American Recruitment
Recruitment from the Americas is selective and reserved for candidates who strongly align with our standards, conduct, and cultural focus.
