History of the Oath

Amongst all modern armed forces there have always been special units which carry out operations different from that of the entire fleet. Though these operations involve excessive danger they are necessary and the key to the success of the fleet. And for the UOLTT it started in the year 2944 amongst a special unit that is now known as the Strategic Insertion and Combat Control Operations. Founded by Commanding Officers Tacoma, Nit3Rid3r and XiaoPigs as a special task force to carry out the riskiest of missions which show the highest reward for the fleet and our squad, this brotherhood has evolved into a squad of the most elite soldiers. And this brotherhood now includes you.

Though groups which carried out special orders existed long before the introduction of an official Special Operations Unit, the standard of such a group that we all affiliate with began in the mid 20th Century. And and since then these units of old Earth they each carried an oath and motto. Every soldier accepted into these ranks of valour must speak these words out loud to swear to live to the standard, expectation and betterment of the military. And today this has not changed.

You have been recruited to the Strategic Insertion and Combat Control Operations because you have shown acts valour above and beyond the call of duty at risk of your own life. Your actions have been courageous by nature and have played key roles in carrying out your duty with honor. Your skillset has shown great promise in excellent teamwork, firearm ability, combat assessment and the ceiling in your abilities stands tall and high above that of a traditional soldier. You are of a special breed and will now be accepted into the ranks of others who share this bond with you.

And though you will not see the public appreciation you so deserve, your actions will carry the admiration and respect of all. You will work in silence and in the shadows behind all that lights the fleets path. Our duty is to keep that path clear.
