The Siderno Group is an association of like-minded individuals. We operate in low security space and facilitate services such as information brokerage, transport of less than public cargo and even security services on dedicated systems.

Due to the nature of our work not all of our associates are known to the public as obviously this would complicate some of our operations, while other associates must announce their presence loudly or else we would have a problem financing our security devision.

We are currently recruiting for a variety of roles:

• Enforcers – These are the muscle of the organization. They are clearly identified as members of the Siderno Group to the public and are responsible for collecting delayed payments from our customers, keeping space safe for our customers and “public relations” with any pilots that enter our systems and may become a potential customer.

• Smugglers – If you need the goods we can deliver them. For obvious reasons they lurk in the shadows and are encouraged to actually become productive members of other trade organizations. A good smuggler is also a good trader and any profits that they make when doing legitimate work is theirs to keep.

• Information Brokers – Where smugglers deal in cargo, information brokers deal in bytes. However as much as Smugglers are naturally inclined to relieve trade secrets from corporation the information brokers focus on infiltrating military oriented organizations or any other special requests that may come from our customers.

Structure:

As you can note from the above the Group naturally divides into two groups: the enforcer and the shadow. However there is also an internal progression system for both groups.

• Initiate: Everyone starts off as an initiate. One is an initiate until the Group can trust him and usually requires an initiation “ritual” to be performed by the applicant. This can be anything from collecting a debt to performing a smuggling run undetected.

• Member: After passing initiation one becomes a full member of the Group.

• Lieutenant: A Lieutenant commands a small group of members focused on certain operations (e.g. smuggling). It is also responsible for the initiation phase of new applicants (to judge when he is ready and to determine the nature of the initiation process).

• Consigliere: One of the highest ranks in the organization, usually responsible for managing operations in a system with several Lieutenants reporting to him. They are part of the “Council” – the place where direction for the Group is set.

• The Face: The highest ranking possible while still visible to the public. For this reason although he is considered a second in command (s)he can never actually succeed The Boss as otherwise the identity would be compromised.

• The Boss: The Boss is The Boss. His word is final. If you want to meet him/her it probably means you won’t. Or maybe you already did and didn’t even notice.

• This section is OOC (Out Of Character).

We are a roleplay Syndicate and intend to be based on systems where law interference is kept to a minimum. We do not plan to kill or pirate indiscriminately, although we will certainly pirate and likely kill our main goal would be to setup a racketeering bracket that would be respected by traders. This does not mean that if we succeed there will be a lack of PvP action, in fact we fully expect that our most fun PvP will come in the form of other pirates rather than traders.

The Syndicate is organized in two distinct forms: The Enforcers and the Shadows. The Enforcers are public members of the syndicate and will be responsible for the heavy hand duties such as making us a credible threat on our basis of operations so that the extortion network can be implemented. They will also be protecting the system from enemy pirate groups as otherwise traders will be afraid of visiting the system and our income will drop. If you are part of the enforcer group we need you to make the Siderno Group as your main organization.

The Shadows are responsible for operations such as smuggling and corporate espionage. For obvious reasons their affiliation with the Group cannot be known to the outside world and they cannot take part on combat activities with the Enforcers – if they do, or for that matter their identity is in any way compromised, they must abandon the Shadows organization at which point they will be offered a new role within the Group or asked to leave in amicable terms. We do have legitimate trading corporation fronts setup if your interest in simply in the smuggling department – a Lieutenant or Consigliere will be responsible for managing these legal entities so as to make sure communication within the group is maintained.

As a player however we understand that you may want to experience more than one playstyle so if you enjoy both smuggling and PvP our suggestion is to create an Alt character for each, Just make sure you keep them separate to public eyes – we don’t want any “information contamination” from the Shadow character to the Enforcer one. Obviously on the website your membership has to be hidden for the Shadow character as well and for Shadow characters we actually encourage you to be part of other, legitimate, organizations. For example by being part of a good trade company it is expected that the reputation you will gain will facilitate smuggling operations – and of course, everything you hear can be used by our corporate espionage department – if this does not interest you however we already have legitimate trade corporations setup within UEE space as mentioned above.
