Signal Nine is an independent recovery and response organisation built for the jobs others leave behind. We recover people, ships, cargo and assets across the ‘verse, from medical extraction and salvage to security, investigation and high-risk retrieval. When the signal goes out, we answer.

History

The History of Signal Nine

Signal Nine began with a simple idea:* when something goes wrong, someone has to go in.*

The organisation was founded by a small group of independent contractors who spent years taking the jobs larger corporations and security firms considered too dangerous, too remote, or simply not worth the cost. Their early work was humble—recovering stranded crews, locating missing ships, retrieving abandoned cargo and pulling survivors from wreck sites.

The name Signal Nine came from those early days. A distress transmission marked the beginning of a job, and the response was always the same: signal received.

As the organisation grew, so did the contracts. Signal Nine expanded into medical extraction, salvage, investigation, security, bounty work and high-risk asset recovery. Rather than specialising in a single field, they built a reputation for assembling the right people and equipment for whatever the job demanded.

Operating independently across Stanton and beyond, Signal Nine refuses to answer to corporations, governments or criminal syndicates. Clients pay for results—not promises.

Today, Signal Nine maintains a simple philosophy:

People can be lost. Ships can be lost. Cargo can be lost.

But nothing is truly lost until Signal Nine says it is.

When the signal goes out, we answer.

Manifesto

Signal Nine — Intentions, Motives & Views

Signal Nine exists for one purpose: to answer when the signal goes out.

We believe no person, ship, cargo load, or valuable asset should be considered lost simply because recovery is difficult, dangerous, or inconvenient. From emergency medical extraction and personnel recovery to salvage, investigation, security and high-risk retrieval, we take on the jobs others leave behind.

We operate independently, without allegiance to corporations, governments or criminal syndicates. Our loyalty is to the contract, our people, and the mission.

We value professionalism, reliability and results. We don’t promise that every recovery will be easy. We promise that when Signal Nine accepts a job, we see it through.

We are not soldiers. We are not pirates. We are not heroes.

We are the response.

When the signal goes out, we answer.
