Simple Farmers was established in 2954 on the planet of Terra in the Terra system, amid a booming era of UEE expansion following the stabilization of trade routes post the Vanduul skirmishes of the early 2950s. The company was founded by a group of former UEE Navy veterans and independent prospectors led by Captain Elias “Reaper” Harlan, a decorated pilot who retired from active duty to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Harlan’s vision was to create an organization that could “farm” the untapped wealth of the stars—minerals from asteroid belts, salvaged tech from derelict ships, and cargo runs to support burgeoning colonies—while maintaining a low-profile, “simple” ethos to avoid the corporate intrigue plaguing larger conglomerates like Shubin Interstellar or Hurston Dynamics.
In its inaugural year (2954), Simple Farmers secured its first major contract: a mining lease in the Pyro system, where they deployed a fleet of Orion mining vessels to extract quantainium from volatile asteroid fields. Despite initial challenges from pirate raids and environmental hazards, the company’s innovative use of Prospector scouts and Reclaimer salvagers allowed them to turn a profit by salvaging debris from failed competitor operations. By 2955, they expanded into cargo hauling, acquiring a squadron of Hull-C freighters to transport refined ores to Stanton system refineries, establishing key partnerships with ArcCorp for industrial supplies.The year 2956 marks a pivotal expansion when Simple Farmers diversified into salvage operations on a grander scale. Following the infamous “Ghost Fleet” incident in the Nyx system—where a Vanduul scouting party left behind a trail of wrecked UEE survey ships—the company bid on and won salvage rights, recovering advanced sensor tech that they repurposed for their own fleet upgrades. This success has boosted their reputation, leading to steady growth in fleet size and personnel, projecting to reach over 500 employees by 2958.

Additionally, through our specialized detachment, we support the UEE Navy’s defense efforts with precision ground operations, protecting the frontiers we help build.
Charter
Membership is open to citizens in good standing with the UEE who share our commitment to resource cultivation and frontier security.
Applicants must demonstrate skills in mining, salvage, hauling, or combat support, or a willingness to train in these areas.
All members agree to abide by this Charter, UEE law, and operational directives from leadership.
Membership may be terminated for violations including piracy, betrayal of company assets, or actions harming UEE interests.
Operate with professionalism: Prioritize safety, efficiency, and minimal environmental impact in all industrial activities.
Loyalty and discretion: Protect company and UEE-sensitive information. Freelance wet work by the Harvest Hands detachment is strictly confidential.
Respect and teamwork: Foster a supportive environment. Discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated.
Lawful operations: Engage only in legal activities within UEE space. In lawless systems, defend company assets proportionally.
Prohibited actions: No unauthorized salvage of UEE or allied property, no smuggling, no aggression toward neutral parties.
Leadership: Founded and led by Captain Elias “Reaper” Harlan. Succession determined by senior council.
Divisions: Industrial Division: Mining, salvage, and cargo hauling.
Harvest Hands: Elite ground operators for UEE freelance contracts (limited to 20-30 members).
