Totally not a cult.
The Totally Normal History of the Space Kraken Fan Club
Founded 57 galactic cycles ago aboard the S.S. Nebulark, the Space Kraken Fan Club began as a small community of scientists, explorers, and artists united by a shared fascination with the legendary Space Kraken—a mythical cephalopod rumored to dwell in the uncharted voids of the galaxy. Initially formed as a way to share art, stories, and scientific theories about this cosmic creature, the group quickly grew into a galaxy-wide network of like-minded individuals.
Early members gathered to discuss reported sightings of strange tentacle-like shadows near wormholes and supernovae. Though no solid evidence of the Space Kraken’s existence has been found (and that’s totally fine!), the society remains committed to celebrating its cultural significance.
Over the decades, SKFC has expanded to include community events like Kraken-Themed Karaoke, Space Noodle Cook-Offs, and the ever-popular Kraken Cosplay Contest. These activities help foster a welcoming environment for fans of the unknown.
The society firmly denies any rumors of secret rituals or hidden Kraken-based agendas, maintaining that their purpose is “purely educational and fun.” Members are simply encouraged to live by the motto: “Embrace the mystery. Respect the tentacles.”
To this day, the Space Kraken Fan Club continues its mission to inspire curiosity and creativity among fans of cosmic mythology—nothing more, nothing less.
Preamble
We, the admirers of the cosmic unknown, gather in awe of the majestic and elusive Space Kraken. Not as worshippers, but as humble enthusiasts seeking to celebrate its symbolic presence in the galaxy. Our mission is simple: to share knowledge, spark imagination, and unite those who find joy in the tentacled mysteries of the stars.
Core Beliefs
The Space Kraken is a Beacon of Wonder
It represents the infinite potential of the cosmos and the mysteries we have yet to uncover. Whether it exists or not is secondary to the inspiration it provides.
Curiosity Unites Us
Our appreciation is rooted in curiosity, creativity, and community. We reject dogma and embrace open-minded exploration of cosmic mythology.
Respect for All Beings
Whether tentacled, scaled, or otherwise, we promote peaceful coexistence with all life forms. Harpooning and probing are strictly prohibited.

We pledge to:
Foster a welcoming community for all Space Kraken enthusiasts.
Celebrate the Kraken through art, science, and storytelling.
Organize events that promote fun, learning, and fellowship (like our legendary Kraken Cosplay Parade and Tentacle-Themed Trivia Nights).
Stand firm against false accusations of cult-like behavior—we are not a cult.
