Smuggler's Alliance / SMUGALL

The galaxy is a dangerous place for those that transport illegal goods. Threats range from star pirates to The Advocacy to alien threats. If you’re a smuggler, you need allies. That’s where the Smuggler’s Alliance comes in.

The Smuggler’s Alliance is a collection of smugglers, mercenaries, pirates, and other sympathetic individuals and organizations that work to help maintain the trade in illegal and stolen goods. By providing something as simple as providing a smuggler an escort, or maintaining a smuggler-friendly pit-stop sanctuary, or even just providing information on lucrative routes and jobs, every type of pilot or captain can assist the Smuggler’s Alliance.

Statement of Mission

The Smuggler’s Alliance is established as a voluntary, non-exclusionary association of willing members united in supporting smuggling and free trade throughout the galaxy.

Organization

The Smuggler’s Alliance primarily meant to be a loose association of individuals and organizations with a common goal of making money through the (questionably) criminal act of transporting restricted cargoes. This means simply, that the vast majority of Smuggler’s Alliance members will be only affiliate members, with only a few primary members, tasked with maintaining and running the organization.

Duties and eligibility of membership

To be eligible for membership in the Smuggler’s Alliance, a pilot must (a) operate a ship that they own (no rentals), (b) must be a smuggler or otherwise smuggler-friendly, and © must not be a member or otherwise be affiliated with the UEE Advocacy, the Bounty Hunter’s Guild or another agency of law enforcement.

There are currently no duties or rules of affiliate membership.
There are currently two duties of primary membership. Primary members are charged with maintaining and running the operations of the Smuggler’s Alliance and with the diplomatic efforts of the Alliance, such as recruiting, and speaking with the authority of the Smuggler’s Alliance when negotiating with other organizations.

Duties of the Smuggler’s Alliance

The Smuggler’s Alliance shall help organize and coordinate smuggling operations across the galaxy, including multi-organization operations.
The Smuggler’s Alliance shall help provide protection for it’s members and affiliated organizations within its power to do so.
The Smuggler’s Alliance will not collect fees, duties or other payments for its actions as an organization. However, donating to or tipping individuals who do provide services is highly encouraged.
The Smuggler’s Alliance shall assume other duties as needed or required, with notification to its members.
