Preamble

We stand at a critical moment in The United Empires of Earth’s history, a time when humanity must choose its future. As the world becomes increasingly frantic and disassociated, the future at once holds great peril and great pleasure. To move forward we must recognize that in the midst of a magnificent diversity of cultures and life forms we are one God with a common destiny. We must embrace the power of pleasures, of the flesh as well as the mind, in order to connect better with our fellow man.

Tenants

I. Pleasure Of Sodom

1. Maximize pleasure within the community.
   1. Recognize that the freedom of action is qualified by the pleasure of the community.
   2. No action should be taken that reduces the net pleasure within the community.
2. Care for the community of Sodom with understanding, compassion, and love.
   1. Accept that with the right to own, manage, and use natural resources comes the duty to prevent harm and to protect the rights and pleasures of the others in our community.
   2. Affirm that with increased freedom, knowledge, and power comes increased responsibility to promote pleasure and the glory of Sodom.
3. Secure Sodom’s bounty and beauty for present and future generations.
   1. All mortal efforts should be weighed against the search for the promised land of New Sodom.

II. Community Integrity

1. Protect the integrity of New Sodom’s Community and her people
   1. Do not engage in actions which do not follow the tenants of New Sodom
   2. Establish and safeguard viable nature and biosphere reserves, including wild lands and port areas, to protect New Sodom’s fleet systems, exploration efforts, and supply lines.
   3. Promote the recovery of Sodomite property.
2. Prevent harm to the community as a whole
   1. Take action to avoid the possibility of serious or irreversible community harm even when pleasure of self or others is at stake.
   2. Place the burden of proof on those who argue that a proposed activity will not cause significant harm, and make the responsible parties liable for community harm.
   3. Ensure that decision making addresses the cumulative, long-term, indirect, and long distance consequences of activities to the community.
   4. Prevent the entry of corrosive elements or those not focused on pleasure to the community.
   5. Avoid military activities impacting the overall integrity of the community.
3. Advance the exploration of new star systems for the promised land of New Sodom and share the knowledge acquired.
   1. Support intergalactic exploration and knowledge acquisition with special attention to New Sodom.
4. Recognize and preserve the traditional knowledge and spiritual wisdom that contributes to human pleasure and well-being.
   1. Ensure that information of vital importance to human health and pleasure, including genetic information, remains available to the community.
