History
The ancient code of the warrior lives on.
The Spartans have traditionally lived a simple life of a highly trained and disciplined warrior. These days they are a highly independent fighting force who can swing both ways either as hired mercenaries for security missions, or when times a slow, a little piracy.
The current capital ship is the military version of the Idris Corvette proudly named after our ancestral earth homeland of Lacedaemon.
Manifesto
Not just anyone can join the Spartan Brotherhood. Only those with the blood of the ancient Hellenic race need apply, and even then only those of extrordinary ability and dedication to the Brotherhood will be considered. They must be of the Christian Orthodox faith or alternatively the ancient Hellenic Gods of our ancestors will be acceptable (proof of such will be required). Birth planet need not be of importance, we’ll be accepting applications from all across the galaxy (genetic testing will be proof enough of your bloodline).Those who do not fit these requirements will be temporarily tolerated but limited to rank of Helot (However permanent citizenship into the Brotherhood and its higher ranks by Helots can be swayed with the right amount of coin).
Its early days yet and in such a competitive environment we must act in the best interests of the Brotherhood. Activities ranging from Piracy to Mercenary contracts securing merchant shipments against other pirates will be necessary until we establish an economic power base.
Building an empire and assimilating alien races is not in our interest. Our ultimate goal is to establish the ancient Spartan ways on a new autonimous homeworld away from UEE or alien races influence or control, so that the Spartan blood lines can remain pure and eternal. So that we can rule ourselves, our way, like the old days. During the early stages I would hope to acquire a moon or asteroid base as our first stretch goal. Our ranks are swelling as I speak, with a vast array of ships at our disposal…..the future looks bright…….red with blood!
