History
Darklight Club was born not from ambition, conquest, or profit but from a simple realization: the Verse feels better when it’s shared.
In the vastness of space, where organizations race for dominance and credits often define worth, a few citizens found themselves longing for something quieter. They wanted a place to dock after long flights. A place to sit back, share stories over drinks at G-Loc, laugh about misadventures, and enjoy life without obligation.
There was no grand founding meeting. No charter signed in blood or ink. Darklight Club emerged organically friends inviting friends, conversations stretching late into the cycle, spontaneous flights turning into lasting connections. It became clear that what was forming wasn’t an organization in the traditional sense, but a club a social space shaped by its members rather than rules.
The name “Darklight” reflects that balance. The calm between chaos. The glow of companionship in the dark expanse of space. A reminder that even in the deepest reaches of the Verse, there is warmth to be found.
Over time, Darklight Club became a refuge for many kinds of citizens: seasoned pilots seeking a slower pace, newcomers looking for guidance without pressure, solo flyers who still wanted a sense of belonging. There were no requirements to prove yourself. No expectations beyond basic respect and good vibes.
The club grew quietly, deliberately, staying true to its roots. It never aimed to compete with organizations or replace them. Instead, it exists alongside them offering a neutral, welcoming space where real life comes first and enjoyment matters more than efficiency.
Today, Darklight Club remains exactly what it set out to be: a relaxed social hub in the Verse. A place where citizens become friends, where moments matter more than metrics, and where you’re always welcome to pull up a chair, stay awhile, and just be yourself.
Manifesto
Darklight Club believes that Star Citizen is more than ships, systems, and credits it’s about the people who inhabit the Verse.
We believe there is value in slowing down. In flying without a destination. In sharing a drink after a long run. In laughter over comms when things don’t go as planned. Not every session needs a goal, and not every player needs a role.
This is a club built on freedom. Freedom from pressure. Freedom from obligation. Freedom to play your way, at your pace, on your terms. Whether you log in daily or once a month, whether you fly solo or join a spontaneous crew, you are welcome here.
Real life always comes first. We understand that priorities exist beyond the Verse, and we respect them fully. Darklight Club is a place you return to
not a place that demands your time.
We value respect, kindness, and genuine connection. Toxicity, elitism, and drama have no place here. Not because of strict enforcement, but because they simply don’t belong in the atmosphere we cultivate.
Darklight Club is not defined by hierarchy or power. There are no ranks to climb, no authority to impress. Influence here comes naturally from being present, supportive, and contributing to the shared experience of the club.
We embrace diversity in playstyles and backgrounds. Veterans and newcomers stand side by side. Questions are welcomed. Help is freely given. No one is expected to know everything, and no one is judged for learning.
This club exists to be a comfortable constant in an ever-evolving. A familiar voice on comms. A friendly beacon in deep space. A reminder that the Verse is vast but you don’t have to experience it alone.
Charter
Purpose
Darklight Club exists as a social space for everyone seeking connection, relaxation, and a positive community experience. It is not an organization, corporation, or faction, and does not engage in structured operations or mandatory activities.
Membership
Membership is open to all respectful citizens, regardless of experience level, time zone, or playstyle. While 18+ is preferred, maturity and respectful behaviour are the true criteria for belonging.
There are no activity requirements, attendance expectations, or contribution quotas. Members may come and go freely without explanation or consequence.
Conduct
Members are expected to treat one another with respect. Harassment, discrimination, excessive toxicity, or intentional disruption of the club’s atmosphere is not welcome.
Disagreements may happen, but they should be handled calmly and privately whenever possible. The goal is harmony, not dominance.
Structure
Darklight Club operates with minimal structure. There are no formal ranks or chains of command. Any coordination whether for flying, crewing, or social events remains voluntary and informal.
Leadership exists solely to maintain the space, not to control it.
Activities
Members are free to engage in any in-game activity they enjoy. This may include social gatherings, casual co-op sessions, exploration, crewing ships, or simply chatting while flying solo.
Participation in club lotteries, group activities, or events is always optional.
Real Life Priority
Real life responsibilities always take precedence. No explanation is required for absence, inactivity, or stepping away. Darklight Club will always be here when you return.
Spirit of the Club
Darklight Club is a place of comfort, connection, and calm. A shared space shaped by its members, where the only expectation is to enjoy the Verse together however that looks for you.
