History Manifesto Charter

History

The St. Cosmas hospital was founded in 2501 on Caliban II, Crion, The hospital found success in preaching of coexistence with alien life while treating those both at home, and on the front lines of the Tevarin war.
Our founders believed that every culture and species in the universe had a god given right to exist, without needing to prove themselves and their worth through expansion and trade.
That was until the Vanduul first appeared in the Caliban system.
St. Cosmas intended to repeat their heroics in the tevarin war, offering aid to both ally and adversary, but the Vanduul invading their skies knew nothing of compassion and ethics.
The monsters tore through the hospital like a bone saw, not so much as flinching when arriving to the pediatrics or hospice wings. It was a massacre.
The few survivors of St. Cosmas vowed that day to modify the sacred hippocratic oath. Those able to feel compassion shall have no harm done to them. But the Vanduul have no concept for such emotion.
Founded in the burning ashes of Crion, and stoked within the hearts of her survivors in 2888, St. Cosmas Medical believes that to save lives, the Vanduul must die.

Manifesto

St. Cosmas Medical believes in saving human lives. Human is defined as that which can feel compassion and empathy. The Vanduul have no such concepts. We strive every day to live by our two guiding principles:
  1. Helping every human in need, no matter who they may be
  2. Killing any Vanduul you may encounter in the verse without hesitation, even at the cost of your own life, for the sake of humanity

These core principles have found us operating in pyro, where both of our services are sorely needed as of late

Charter

St. Cosmas Charter is concrete
  1. Follow your oath, respect those around you as if they were your own
  2. Help any human, banu, xi’an, or tevarin you may find in the verse, no matter their circumstance
  3. Render the Vanduul extinct, one at a time if need be, and at the cost of your own life if you must
  4. Collect tithe for your service
