History
Origins in the Dark
The story of Stellar Survival Corp begins not with wealth, power, or military might, but with a simple desire to survive.
In the years following the expansion of humanity into the far reaches of known space, countless independent pilots, prospectors, traders, and explorers pushed beyond the safety of established systems in search of opportunity. Many never returned. Piracy, hostile environments, equipment failures, and the unforgiving vastness of space claimed ships and crews alike.
Among these pioneers was a small group of survivors who shared a common experience: they had all been abandoned by larger organisations during times of crisis.
Some had watched convoys scatter when attacked. Others had been left stranded after failed expeditions. A few were veterans of wars fought for corporations that valued profits above lives.
Determined that no spacer should face the void alone, these individuals formed a loose mutual aid network. Their creed was simple:
“Survive first. Prosper together.”
The First Beacon
The turning point came during what members now refer to as The Blackstar Incident.
A catastrophic navigation failure trapped several civilian vessels in a remote and uncharted region of space. With communications damaged and supplies dwindling, survival seemed impossible.
Rather than abandoning the stranded crews, the network organised an unprecedented rescue effort. Pilots crossed dangerous territories, miners supplied fuel, medics treated the injured, and security teams defended rescue operations against opportunistic raiders.
Against overwhelming odds, every surviving crew member was brought home.
The event became legendary among frontier communities and transformed the informal network into a permanent organisation.
Thus, Stellar Survival Corp was officially founded.
Building the Corporation
In the years that followed, SSC expanded from a handful of determined survivors into a respected interstellar organisation.
New divisions were established:
Pathfinder Division for exploration and discovery.
Industrial Division for mining, salvage, and logistics.
Security Division for defence and escort operations.
Medical Response Teams for rescue and humanitarian missions.
Frontier Development Corps for building and supporting remote settlements.
Unlike many corporations, SSC measured success not by profits alone, but by its ability to protect its members and support those in need.
Their willingness to answer distress calls in hostile territory earned them a reputation across multiple systems.
