In the decades following the collapse of several frontier security contracts and the increasing strain on the military resources of the United Empire of Earth,
large portions of the outer systems were left dangerously under protected. Trade lanes became prime targets for piracy, fringe militias fought over resources, and
corporate expansion pushed deeper into unstable regions of space.

Out of this growing security vacuum, Strategic Management Group was formed.

The company was founded by a small group of former naval officers, security contractors, and independent pilots who had served in various UEE patrol fleets and
corporate security detachments. After witnessing firsthand, the limitations of centralized military response in distant systems, they set out to build a private
force capable of operating faster, smarter, and more flexibly than traditional fleets.

What began as a small escort outfit protecting merchant vessels moving between high-risk systems quickly evolved into a professional private military company
specializing in rapid-response security operations.

Over time, the organization developed a reputation for taking on contracts that others refused:

Escorting high-value cargo through pirate-controlled routes

Securing mining operations in unstable systems

Conducting targeted strikes against organized pirate groups

Recovering stranded crews and lost assets beyond regular patrol zones

Unlike many mercenary outfits operating on the fringes of the empire, SMG maintains strict operational discipline and contract integrity. Every mission is planned
with military precision, every operator trained to function as part of a coordinated unit.

While officially independent, the organization maintains professional relationships with merchants, industrial corporations, and lawful authorities across multiple systems.
Their ships can often be seen moving through trade corridors where risk is highest. appearing when security is needed most and disappearing once the contract is complete.
