Ranks and Hierarchy

Sunns of Kyuss is structured into a hierarchy of ranks performing different roles within a number of fields.
As members gain experience in different fields and roles they have the opportunity to progress through the ranks.

This idea is VERY LOOSE. SoK does not seek to be a controlling overbearing ‘rank up’ simulator……
The rank structure is designed to help achieve Org goals. This is achieved through the use of Ranks.
Experienced members guiding less experienced members.
This does NOT mean your superiors OWN you – this does however mean you should treat others (above AND below) you with respect.
Strive to move through the game learning from those around you – friend or foe – Pass on those skills and knowledge by teaching and helping your fellow SoK members.

Command
  • Commander (Commands the Org)

Board
  • Board Member – (Represents the Squadron on the board. Generally a Squadron Commander)
  • Board Assistant – (Squadron 2IC and Staff)

The Board functions to represent the interests of the SoK members – listening to the Wants and Needs of the Squadrons, Squads and Teams…. Guides the Org in a common direction.
Functions as a council to govern the Org

Squadron
  • Squadron Commander – (Alpha Squad Leader)
  • Squadron 2IC – (Bravo Squad Leader)
  • Squadron Staff – (Charlie Squad Leader)

Three (3) Squads form a Squadron. This is where large multi mission blocks come into play – Squadrons may work together or be spread across a multitude of tasks.

Squad
  • Squad Leader – (Team Leader Alpha Team.) (Squad Commander – a Veteran and an Expert in their field – the Squad leader knows the mission SoK has given them and will mobilise their Teams towards those goals in the eternal quest for victory!)
  • Squad 21C – (Team Leader Bravo Team.)

Six (6) person Squads are formed from Two Teams working together or individually on a task.
A Squad Leader runs their own Team in addition to the a Squad.

Team
  • Team Leader – (An experienced member in their field) Team Leaders report directly to their Squad Leader and are the Squad 2IC.
  • Team Member – (Core of the SoK Org. Whether it be a Strike Marine or a Science Team member – this is where the jobs get done.)

Three (3) person Teams form the building block of the hierarchy.
These Teams make up the bulk of the Org and are the working backbone of SoK.
The ‘boots on the ground’ technical and hands-on roles. The teams are your family within Star Citizen and the core experience of SoK
Its only paperwork and management upwards from here

Recruit
  • Rec – A.. Assigned Preference Cycle = (Recruit has nominated for initial roles within the Teams)
  • Rec – B.. Assigned Shuffle = (Assigned to the training pool and rotated through teams in the SoK Sqaudrons)
  • Rec – C.. Unassigned = (Waiting for first Team assignment)

Recruits are fresh members seeking to find their place in SoK.
As part of the entry process to SoK – Recruits will be shuffled through different teams within the Squadrons.
Thus giving a broad view of the many facets of SoK and help build experience in a variety of roles.

Roles

All members are trained to operate in a Red Role – these roles form the Base of all Teams.
Be it a Green, Orange or Yellow role – these positions are just ‘up-skilled’ Red troops. Specialising in their preferred/designated field.

Sunns of Kyuss [SoK]

We are a small Organisation focusing on a freedom of existence structure. A conglomerate of autonomous members free to operate private ships and tasks – with the support and protection of an over-arching structure.
  • Designed to fit in and around a citizens daily activities.
  • Work and tasks are ‘contracted’ to available players or requested at player discretion.
  • Plans to rally for larger tasks or emergency calls to Arms in times of need.
  • Strong sense of duty and honour.
  • Cater to both Combat and Non-Combat Play styles

A turn away from a ‘strict’ controlling structure, whilst maintaining a strong command hierarchy that governs Organisation affairs/direction.

Sunns of Kyuss selected the Corvette Class Polaris Capital ship as the SoK Org Flagship.
A mobile HQ for the Org and the spearhead of larger operations.

With up to 22 crew including a small hanger for a Support or Strike craft, 28 Torpedoes, Manned/Unmanned weapon systems and room for a Space Marine Squad – the SoK Polaris is a formidable foe.

In addition – the SoK Polaris is a Mobile Hub for organising trade and as a shelter to SoK members and their squadrons.

SoK Org also operates a Banu Merchantman and the Anvil Carrack.
These 3 ships truly cover all SoK key objectives. Combat, Trade and Exploration
With the SoK Polaris, BMM and the Carrack supported by the numerous member private ships – SoK can field a sizeable and versatile fleet at any one time.
