History Manifesto Charter

History

The Order of Christ and The New Temple was established slightly before the UNE 2380 as an extension to other organizations following the discovery, by Humans, of the First Jump Point 2271. The Order has only recently decided to announce its presence in the public eye of late to Christians of The Verse who recognize the impending threat of war and would like to have a more active role in protecting innocents of all creeds and nationalities from the horrors of war.

To do this the Council of The Order of Christ and The New Temple has decided to found the first Legion Militant under the Templar Knight known as The Blood Eagle. The Legion when used by the Council of The Order of Christ and The New Temple will be a generic term and may refer to any legion who swears fealty to the Council under God.

With the recent announcement by the honorable Admiral Bishop of the UEE Navy to the UEE Senate three months ago the Council has given the Legion Lord known as The Blood Eagle the go-ahead to begin civilian recruiting for the formation of the Founding Legion.

Manifesto

This is the founding legion of the Legions Militant of the Order of Christ and The New Temple. The Blood Eagles will operate almost all across the board. The Legion is founded to carry out the Moral Right and as such will do so to the best of its ability and discretion. This will at times in some case put aspects of the Legion against the Law. When this occurs the cases will be evaluated on a case by case basis and support will be awarded to those found to be in the Right. In as far as we can we’ll help out other players, we will attempt to take a resource rich multiple entry system on the Frontier. This and other planets will serve as our bases but Main Command and all Councilors will be expected to be mobile for as much time as is personally tolerable outside of our own systems. This is a truly Christian organization so intent is that this can also be a support network in the real world for those of us in trouble or know of a situation in which people need aid. So, in short, we’re a supporting group that will be role-playing a-lot. Real world matters more though, and no one will be punished for being mentally present toward both. We’ll support anyone who works on the black and grey sides of the market beyond the normal merchants around the verse. This will make us unpopular and beyond that most of our large fleet will be assembled after PU Launch to avoid us all bleeding money like a hunted animal.

Charter

The Charter of The Order of Christ and The New Temple Legion Militant; The Blood Eagles:

This is the founding legion of the Legionnaire Branches of the Order of Christ and The New Temple. The Blood Eagles will operate as security, pirates, freelancers, and bounty hunters. We will also dabble in exploration, resources, and trade. All Blood Eagles are Knights, and will be referred to formally as Dame and Sir, militantly by Rank and Surname, and personally by First names, mutually agreed upon Nicknames, and Surnames at personal discretion. Some rules will be IRL specific.

The Wildland Code:

These are the rules to be used IRL and In Game to determine behavior of the Knights. Yes this is a game, but reasonably speaking maintaining a set of personal ethics is a good idea in any situation. Consider these guidelines to that effect.
In Game and IRL

  1. Knights are permitted a total of seventy-five personal material possessions including clothing and gear.
  2. Knights are permitted a personal account for any uses which they deem worthy on their own discretion. No officer controls this other than the self.
  3. Knights are permitted to own and maintain any personal domiciles they purchase using their personal accounts. This includes ships and will not be limited.
  4. Knights have a right to a bed and a private or semi private sleeping area.
  5. Knights will maintain behavior complementary and honestly representative to and of our Order, our God, and our King Jesus Christ.
  6. Knights will maintain a training regimen when not on duty to facilitate piloting skills, teamwork, and combat skills. Physical fitness, health, strength, and team cohesion would be appreciated to be carried out IRL though strict adherence is not required.
  7. Knights will maintain a strict schedule of meditation, prayer, and counseling to facilitate mental health, godliness, and ethical behavior. This is an IRL rule.
  8. Knights will not accept bribes, be intimidated, be cursed, or influenced away from the doing of Right according to Holy Scripture.
  9. Knights will leave the Order voluntarily with all their possessions and all that can be spared if they lose the Faith, these will be highly honored and known as Order Friends.
  10. Knights will treat any and all with respect and hold all in higher esteem than ourselves. None in our care will be intentionally disrespected or insulted by our own. This is an IRL rule.

The Rule of All:

These are the rules to be used and In Game to determine behavior of the non-knights in our territory.

  1. All who accept to live in our borders will attempt to the best of their personal ability to follow the laws of Holy Scripture. Specifically the Commandments of Moses and the Beatitudes.
  2. All who accept our right to govern and to live in our borders will be required to accept Christ into their life as God and King.
  3. All who accept to live in our lands will accept the temporary taxes placed on their exported goods, to be used for medical, infrastructural, and social improvement wisely.
  4. All able-bodied individuals who accept to live in our lands will work the communal fields, mines, and workshops or a registered merchant and have the communal goods distributed as able from the total. All individuals who own fields, mines, or workshops will work them and pay a tax of produced goods from one to seven and a half percent of product or the monetary equivalent.
  5. All individuals in our lands have a right to a bed or home of some form owned privately or otherwise. The order will maintain fortress dormitories in all parish churches. These dormitories will house no less than sixty beds each. Food will be provided at the discretion of the Parish Councilor.
  6. All individuals in our lands have the right to personal property. Thievery under the guise of confiscation will be answered with execution by firing squad.
  7. All individuals in the land have the right to free speech. All complaints voiced will be heard, and if it is possible issues will be rectified.
