The undefeated, the unseen. No job is too risky or too dangerous. We are the people who get things done, not who ache over morals.
The question isn’t who we are – you know that already or you wouldn’t be here.
The question is: What do you want done?
The Company appeared in 2797 under mysterious circumstances in an odd, aging ship. Most the Company was killed off in a skirmish with the Vanduul that day and we had to scuttle the ship. Some raider scum posing as Advocacy agents mounted a “rescue” on our escape pod and tried to take us as slaves.
That didn’t go so well for them but it really made our day better. Rag-tag raiders don’t make the best tactical choices.
With their ships we picked up new recruits on Elysium, mostly humans but also a gene-modded birdbrain. A few months later the cheapass Cutlasses we appropriated turned into some Avengers and Freelancers. We weren’t new to the raid-and-salvage business and hitting lost military supply ships was very lucrative.
Over a period of fifty years we slowly built our “legitimate” fleet from the ground up and scrapped our acquired assets. We mostly changed back to our roaming trader and mercenary after that point. Ferrying supplies to the Synthworld project had been a steady source of income. Fueling up everyone else trying to do the same was just icing on the cake. Those were good days but boring as hell for our Logistics team.
We managed to make a killing serving as private escorts and running our own merchant marine fleet as the ‘duul became bolder yet. When they hit Squadron 42’s carrier every trader and his cousin became paranoid that a raiding party would be right around the corner so any outfit running escort services was in high demand.
After the Synthworld fizzled out we had to turn to bounty hunting for a while. With the UEE’s political system turning into a festering swamp again every yahoo with an Aurora and a couple guns turned into a shooter or a looter. Starting losing people more often to the black but dangerous times make for exciting living.
Where are we at now? Over a hundred years later we are still in the business. While our universe has changed we have stayed mostly the same. We are still the survivors and the fighters. We still do what we have to without qualms or reservations. Drop us a line and we’ll talk payment.
We are here to make a profit, plain and simple. We do not hide this fact or dress it up like some kind of doll you put on a shelf – that is for the self-righteous.
We are not the righteous – we are the survivors.
We prefer to work within the law – saves paperwork – but we aren’t afraid to dirty our hands.
Escorts. Bounty hunting. Espionage. Theft. Smuggling. Assassination. There are few jobs we won’t take.
Out in the Verse there are only two things that matter: your head and your reputation.
Any wannabe pirate can get a hold of an Aurora and shoot up convoys. There are thousands of those and we thank them for giving us steady employment.
We are trained professionals; our word is gold and our reputation precedes us.
An injury to one is an injury to all. A bloody dagger is repaid in kind.
We expect our clients and other outfits to keep this in mind. A contract must be honored by all parties involved.
No gods, no kings.
We are beholden only to ourselves and our contracts.
- If there is no profit we’re not interested. Piracy and bounty hunting are profitable, griefing is not. People play this game to have fun so hitting the same individuals/groups again and again can ruin that fun.
– Only exception: blackmarks. They are considered targets of opportunity for capture and salvage.
- Racist, sexist, ableist assholes are not welcome. We are LGBTQ+ friendly. If you have a problem about who or what someone is, that’s your problem to deal with.
- We are all adults and both adult humor and profanity should be expected while in unit chat. Just don’t take it too far and don’t be disruptive.
– Spectrum/forum posts MUST conform to the RSI Code of Conduct.
- Failure to comply will result in ejection, potentially with no warning.
- Sorties may have at least one recorder present. This is to preserve flight data for training and recordskeeping.
- Flight recordings may be used for promotional and recruiting purposes.
- All contracts will be recorded. These will not be publicly available but will be used to resolve disputes.
- Contracts require full disclosure from client. Failure to do so will be considered breach of contract.
- Breach of contract will result in a blackmark. The blackmark list is available to all our members and associates.
- Blackmarked citizens and organizations will be considered targets of opportunity.
