Condemned is a team-based organization focusing on tactical, high-end piracy throughout the verse.

History

Overview: Condemned is a competitive, team focused guild. Our overarching goal is simple, ‘to be the best we can be’ in both PvP and PvE, by formulating the highest levels of teamwork, organization, communication, coordination, and practice. On top of this we aim to provide a positive and mature atmosphere where new members can be trained to become the next generation of top caliber players. Condemned has been a competitive force in MMO gaming for the past decade.

Teamwork: If Condemned could be summed up in one word it would be “ teamwork.” From recruit to GM all members undoubtedly believe the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts. Everyone, including leadership, pool resources together as a guild to achieve our goals, not expecting direct return on an individual level. Additionally, all team members show mutual respect and professionalism toward one another.

Integrity: We do not cheat, exploit, or spy on other guilds and we do not tolerate those that do. Members do not talk in a negative fashion to other players or guilds. We believe in walking the walk, not talking the talk.

Attitude: Attitude is the most important factor when evaluating the potential in new members of Condemned. We look for positive and humble players with the initiative to learn. All members regardless of experience and rank look for opportunities to improve themselves regardless of perceived skill level.

Communication: Proper communication is a crucial aspect to success in any gaming environment. Members in Condemned are required to be on Teamspeak 3 and have a working headset for all guild events.

Progression: Members of Condemned are not solely recruited based on personal experience and past achievements. Instead, members are recruited based on their willingness to learn, and be trained. All members look forward to receiving constructive feedback and look for opportunities to step up and learn new skills.

Manifesto

Our Mission:

Condemned is a team based organization which continually strives to achieve high PvP/PvE performance through the use of teamwork, structure, and member development.

Our Philosophy:

While CONDEMNED is a competitive guild our greatest victories are not those achieved through in-game accomplishments. They are instead measured by the comradery and long-term friendships forged through working towards a common goal throughout many years of gaming. Teamwork, organization and a unified vision is the foundation not only for success in game but also for establishing a long-term community.

Sportsmanship:

“Good sportsmanship encompasses many aspects of a man’s character, the most fundamental being respect. The good sportsman respects both his teammates and his opponents as equals. He plays with integrity. A win that does not come fairly holds no satisfaction for him. He is honest in his dealings with opponents, because he treats them the way he wants to be treated. He is unselfish in his desire to see all his teammates participate and enjoy the game. He is humble in his victories, and has the proper perspective on his losses. In short, the qualities that go in to making a good man are the same ones that contribute to being a great sportsman.” -Brett McKay

Values:

  • A positive attitude and humble demeanor
  • Integrity and honesty
  • Openness and respectfulness
  • Constructive self-criticism, self-improvement, and personal excellence
  • The initiative to learn, practice, and take on responsibility

Charter

Team Representation
CONDEMNED does not permit members to join other organizations. Members of CONDEMNED will represent the team in a professional manner. Trolling and trash talking others via official threads, game chat, streaming, video content or other public avenues is not permitted. Also, any opinions listed publicly that could be associated with CONDEMNED must be done so in a professional manner. Finally, we will not permit members to tarnish the team by hacking or exploiting. Members who do so will be summarily dismissed from the guild.

Age Requirement/Maturity
CONDEMNED has a minimum age requirement of 18. We often partake in adult language and humor via party chat as well as on our private forums. This however is done so in moderation. Hate speech in any of its forms, race, sexual orientation, sexism etcetera will not be tolerated.

Professionalism
All members regardless of rank are required to treat all others with respect. It is the responsibility for veteran members to welcome and guide new players within the organization. Members who have issues or concerns with a person, policy or event that occurred in the guild are expected to promote a positive gaming environment and approach leadership in private to address the issue. Openly complaining to members instead of approaching leadership is not permitted. Such behavior not only fails to address the situation in a meaningful way but it also tends to promote a hostile or negative gaming environment.

Leadership is also expected to maintain such professionalism when dealing with players. Whenever possible discipline or potentially embarrassing/heated discussions will be conducted in private. Players are not to be berated in front of their piers.

Website Activity
Members of CONDEMNED are required to both register and remain active on the guild website. Important information ranging from game guides to event scheduling will be listed on the website. Players are expected to be knowledgeable of such information. Internal guild information and strategies are not to be shared with anyone outside of the guild without prior approval from leadership.

Attendance
Member attendance policies fall into two categories, general member attendance and chapter specific attendance.

  • General Member Attendance
CONDEMNED will allow members in good standing to remain in the guild if they do not wish to join an official chapter or choose to vacate an official chapter, no longer playing the game in which the guild is housed. Members will not be permitted to remain in the guild if they choose to play a game in which we have an official chapter outside of the guild. To maintain General Member standing in the guild players must visit the website (logged in) at least once every two weeks.
  • Chapter Specific Attendance
Star Citizen: There will be two categories for active members in Star Citizen, Combat Specialists & Economy Specialists.

Combat specialists are required to attend a minimum of 50% of guild scheduled events. The preliminary schedule for guild events in Star Citizen is 8:00 PM EST till 11:00 PM EST, Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. (This is subject to change prior to release)

Economy Specialists will have specific weekly goals determined by our Finance Officer and are not subject to a minimum attendance requirement. However, all members online during guild events are expected to attend these events unless instructed otherwise by guild leadership.

On Leave
Player must post in the “On Leave” section of our forums if they are taking an extended absence from the game regardless of member status. Members of an official chapter must post if they are unable to attend official events particularly their assigned PvE raid nights. On Leave should be posted in advance whenever possible to allow team captains ample time to find a replacement player.

Voice Comms
All members of CONDEMNED are required to use Teamspeak and possess a working headset. During guild events members are required to utilize voice communications without exception.
