WHY TEAMS?: TEAMS was formed at the release of Star Citizen Alpha 3.1. Gameplay in Star Citizen Alpha is starting to incorporate more multicrew and team related systems, including beacons and shared mission. Some players primarily wish to play on their own. Membership in an organization may provide a trusted group of players with which to enjoy aspects of the game that are more difficult to experience when operating solo. Yet some players do not want to join a large organization with the social pressures and demands that may then result. The aim of TEAMS is to provide contacts for good group of players without joining a large, complex organization.

SIMPLE TEAMS: The concept of TEAMS is very simple. TEAMS is intended to be an expanded contact list of trusted friendly players, each playing the game on their own. But, when a team of players is needed, instead of requesting help from random strangers, members of TEAMS can request help from other organization members.

This can be helpful in the Persistent Universe as well as Arena Commander. As the game expands, the value of a small, respectful, trusted group will continue to increase.
