“Semita Tenebris Revelamini”

“Darkness Reveal The Path.”

History

The void between galaxies is said to drive even the strongest of will mad. Immensely vast, silent as the grave, cold and lifeless. The first among us were born of this void, lost to the empires and civilizations of humanity, survivors of a lost colony ship abandoned to drift among the emptiness. Those who came before us weren’t driven mad by the darkness but rather learned from it. Nearly 500 years have passed since the colonists our founders descend from ventured into the unknown. We honor those forgotten by the UEE, those abandoned and forsaken by the corporate overlords of the past and present. All life is insignificant in the eyes of the UEE and Corporations unless it furthers their interests it is expendable. The call to the darkness lives in all of us and while it has been a long time since any have made the pilgrimage into the void and returned, the knowledge it has shown our ancestors remains. Many will venture into the unknown only those born of the infinite darkness will return.

Manifesto

The words of the founders:

Work in the darkness and it will guide you. It will teach you the path to true freedom. The road to wealth is not always paved in blood. The road to power is rarely well lit. One governments contraband could be a business waiting for an entrepreneur. One corporations trade is a treasure waiting to be liberated. All men and women have their vices, let us supply them with the freedoms they desire. Let our all of our armada be feared for the power we have and respected for the restraint we show. All who would serve the void are welcome within its infinite darkness. All those who would serve the corporations are a target.

Tenebris Infinitum

The Infinite Darkness is a syndicate of pirates, smugglers, bounty hunters, freelancers and the like who operate outside the laws of the UEE and other galactic governments. Our goal is to eventually maintain and operate an array of mobile capital ships that act as harbors for those who fly in the shadows as we do. These “Safe Haven” vessels would act as a place for repair and refuge for those who we count among our allies and those who fly our colors. This is a long term goal and will require long hours of work from all who fly our colors to achieve. We are welcome to those who wish to roleplay the darker side of space. We do not require our members to be ace pilots or perfect marksman, while these things are always welcome all who fly our colors are welcome to their equal share of the prize. After all we are all here for the fun, if we aren’t having fun we aren’t playing for the right reasons. If you wish to add to our current fleet we are accepting new pilots, crew members, and marine forces.

Our Current Fleet:

Single-Crew:

  • 1 F7C-S Hornet Ghost

Multi-Crew:

  • 1 Freelancer
  • 1 Redeemer

Charter

Doctrine:

1. Loyalty Is Rewarded.
  • All who serve within our crews have a right to an equal share of any loot they help to acquire.
  • Flying with us is the only way to climb the ranks and those who work with us will be given more authority as our ranks grow.
2. Take Only A Portion.
  • If a corporation sees a total loss in profits they will redirect their efforts elsewhere or respond with heavier guard. This makes our jobs harder.
  • Even if you can haul the entire cargo hold of a trade ship you shouldn’t, not only does this piss off those who own the ship but it also is more likely to bring unwanted attention.
3. Harm Only Those Who Resist.
  • Only destroy what you must and harm those you must to obtain that which is desired. A reputation of only killing those who need be killed can work in our favor by creating a reason for traders to cooperate.
  • Only take prisoners when they present a unique opportunity to profit, all others are to be released after surrender.
4. If Someone Tries To Kill You, Kill ‘em Right Back.
  • While we do have honor and are willing to accept surrender that doesn’t mean we can let those who attempt to harm us beyond self defense continue to live.
5. The Right To Parley.
  • Respect the right to parley, any who seek it are to be unharmed and taken before the captain of the commanding vessel in the region or encounter.
6. The Right To Tribute.
  • If a trader has paid the syndicate in advance for safe passage it is to be respected without question. These instances will be few and far between and will have very specific time constraints. (ex. June 20th 2017 1500-1800 PDT) and can only be approved by the Inner Circle of Captains.
  • Traders who are openly willing to pay for passage through any sectors which we occupy are to be respected based on the worth of their cargo. Not all tribute must be accepted however and those involved will be the deciding force.
7. Don’t Go It Alone.
  • While we understand smaller engagements, Piracy isn’t just killing random traders, it is the acquisition of goods via force rather than currency. If you are in a fighter you aren’t going to make a profit blowing up trade vessels and would better serve the cause smuggling or bounty hunting.
  • This is as much for our protection as the protection of our chosen business. A lone wolf will always die while a pack survives.
8. If You Can’t Haul It, Don’t Take It.
  • This is a no brainer, no trader in their right mind is going to fly routes where pirates destroy their entire profit. If a trader does surrender only take what you can haul, we aren’t here to rob them blind we are here to make a profit.
9. Never Reveal The Path
  • Only those of the Inner Circle of Captains should reveal the locations of our “Safe Haven” capital ships. This is to protect not only our assets but the assets of our allies.
  • Coordinate information for any assets is to be shared on a case by case basis and to remain encrypted when not in the hands of ranking members of the syndicate.
  • “Safe Haven” ships will have have a set of emergency coordinates for relocation if a location is compromised and will report compromised locations. You are not required to immediately run from conflict however we want to ensure our assets are safe and remain hidden unless being utilized.
10. Safe Havens
  • If you are aboard a safe haven vessel it is to be treated as such. These are places of refuge for our allies and us. If you have a problem with someone take it outside the rest of us are more than willing to watch you blow each other up outside the hull. Any found violating this accord will be spaced.
  • The idea behind safe haven vessels is that we can use them to recruit crew from within other organizations and share information among our allies. These vessels will also act as mobile bases for smaller detachments of our fleet used for piracy, smuggling, and bounty hunting. Giving them a safe place to repair, rearm, and refuel when needed. These services will be extended to allies currently aboard a vessel on a case by case basis.
