The Rat Pack is a group of freelancers flying around the verse, getting into trouble and calling it “operations.” Some days it’s contracts, other days it’s chaos, but we stick together, make some money, and see where it goes.

History

The Rat Pack wasn’t built with a plan, it came together the way most things do in the verse. A few people running jobs, crossing paths, and realising it was easier, and a lot more interesting, to stick together.

The group started out just taking whatever work was available. Small contracts, odd jobs, helping each other out when needed. Over time, that turned into something more consistent. More people joined, more ships got involved, and the jobs got bigger.

The Pack never locked itself into one way of operating. Some days it’s clean work: hauling, escorting, salvage. Other days it’s less official, jobs that don’t come with paperwork and don’t ask too many questions. That flexibility is what kept the group going.

What held it together wasn’t structure or rules—it was friendship. People showed up, did their part, and didn’t make things harder than they needed to be. That’s what built the reputation the Pack has now.

It’s still the same at its core. A group of people flying together, taking opportunities as they come, and seeing where it leads.

Led by Evanstar, The Rat Pack continues to grow by the kind of people who choose to stay.

Manifesto

The Rat Pack Manifesto

We’re not here to play one role or follow one path.
We take the jobs that make sense, we fly what we want, and we figure the rest out as we go.

We don’t overcomplicate things.
If someone’s leading an operation, you follow the plan.
If you commit to something, you show up and do your part.
If there’s money to be made, we make it—together.

We’re not pirates, and we’re not law-abiding either.
We sit somewhere in the middle.
If it’s a clean contract, we run it.
If it’s off the books, we keep it quiet and get it done.

No egos, no drama.
Respect the crew, keep comms clear, and don’t waste people’s time.

Everyone pulls their weight.
New members learn quickly.
Experienced players step up when it matters.

We’re not trying to be the biggest org or the most serious.
We’re just a solid group of people who know how to play the game, back each other, and enjoy it.

That’s it.

That’s The Rat Pack.

Charter

The Rat Pack exists as a crew of independent players operating together across the verse. The purpose of the Pack is simple: work together, take opportunities as they come, and make the most out of the game without unnecessary structure or restriction.

The Pack is led by the Captain, who sets direction and has final say when needed. Supporting leadership roles exist to keep things organised, manage the crew, and ensure operations run smoothly. Leadership is there to enable the crew, not control it.

Operations are run by whoever is leading the job. When a plan is set, it is followed. Input is welcome, but once execution starts, clarity and coordination take priority.

Members are expected to be reliable. If you commit to something, you show up. If you’re part of an operation, you contribute. Time and effort from others should be respected at all times.

The Pack operates across both legal and off-the-books work. Flexibility is part of the identity. Members are expected to adapt to different roles, ships, and situations depending on what’s needed.

There is no tolerance for unnecessary drama, ego, or behaviour that disrupts the crew. Issues should be handled directly or raised through leadership if needed.

New members are expected to learn quickly and get involved. Experienced members are expected to support the crew and step up when required.

The Rat Pack is built on trust, consistency, and people who choose to be part of it. That’s what keeps it working.
