Whether you’re looking for a fresh contract or just a stiff drink to wash down the stardust, welcome to The Cantina

The Cantina Discord

History

In a galaxy that’s usually trying to kill you, we figured the verse needed a place where the engines stay off and the shields stay down. We are a premier hub for the mercenaries, guns-for-hire, and solo pilots of Star Citizen who know that the best missions start with a handshake and a round of drinks.

## THE GENESIS OF THE CANTINA (EST. 2956)

### The Ghost of Stanton

In early 2956, the Stanton system was reeling from increased pirate activity and fluctuating corporate stability. Amidst the chaos, a veteran pilot known only as “Warlock-09” became a frequent name on the comms. A former tactical specialist who had spent too many years flying for logos that didn’t care if he lived or died, Warlock-09 realized a fundamental truth of the ‘Verse:

> “A pilot with a contract is a tool; a pilot with a crew is a force.”

### The “Empty Hangar” Incident

The legend goes that Warlock-09 was hired for a high-risk extraction near Grim HEX that went sideways when his corporate handler cut his quantum fuel supply to “minimize expenses.” Warlock-09 managed to limp his battered ship into a derelict docking bay, surviving only by trading intel with a passing band of independent salvagers.

Disillusioned by the treachery of the Big Six and the lawlessness of the pirate packs, he took his remaining UEC and secured a lease on a decommissioned sub-level of a mid-rim station. He didn’t build a fortress; he built a bar.

### From Shadows to a Stronghold

He called it The Cantina. It started as a dark corner where pilots could swap reliable intel without the Advocacy listening in or a Syndicate boss taking a cut. Warlock-09’s reputation for fairness and his “No Questions, No Politics” policy turned a small watering hole into the premier mercenary hub it is today.

By the end of 2956, the name “Warlock-09” became synonymous with the Neutral Ground. He stepped back from the cockpit to oversee the club’s expansion, ensuring that every mercenary who walked through those doors had access to three things: a hot contract, a cold drink, and a crew they could trust their life with.

### The Founder’s Mark

To this day, the “Warlock-09” call sign is reserved. In the back of the club, a single booth remains permanently “Reserved”—a tribute to the man who decided that mercenaries deserved more than just a paycheck; they deserved a home.

### Why We’re Here

  • The Bar: Find your next crew or your next paycheck without the corporate overhead.
  • The Vibe: Leave the dogfighting at the airlock. Here, we talk shop, trade intel, and relax.
  • The Code: We keep it professional. A mercenary is only as good as their reputation.

### How to Get Started

1. Stow Your Gear: Check out the `#manifesto` to see how we run things.
2. Order a Round: Introduce yourself in the lounge. Tell us what you fly and what your rate is.
3. Crew Up: Keep an eye on the mission boards for active operations and open cockpits.

> “Fly solo if you want to go fast; fly together if you want to get paid.”

Welcome to the family. Grab a seat, watch your back, and let’s make some UEC.

Manifesto

THE CANTINA: OFFICIAL MANIFESTO

I. THE NEUTRAL GROUND
The Verse is a theater of endless conflict. Corporations wage proxy wars, the Advocacy struggles for control, and pirate packs scavenge the scraps. The Cantina exists as the quiet center of the storm. We are a sovereign social and tactical hub where the only badge that matters is your reputation. Within our hulls, shields are down, weapons are stowed, and business is conducted with a handshake.

II. THE MERCENARY STANDARD
We do not fight for causes; we fight for contracts. However, being a mercenary is not an excuse for thuggery. Members of The Cantina operate under a strict code of professional conduct: * Precision: We minimize collateral damage to maximize profit. * Reliability: A contract signed is a contract completed. * Discretion: Our clients pay for our silence as much as our firepower.

III. INDEPENDENCE & INTEGRITY
While we often crew up for high-stakes operations, The Cantina respects the sovereignty of the individual pilot. We are a collection of specialists, not a hive mind. Every member is encouraged to maintain their own fleet and personal brand, using the club as a force multiplier when the job requires more than one cockpit.

IV. THE BLOOD OATH
We do not hunt our own. To fire upon a fellow member of The Cantina is to forfeit your standing, your UEC, and your safety. In the cold black of space, the person sitting at the stool next to you is the only one you can truly trust.

V. OUR ULTIMATUM
To the UEE, the Corporations, and the Syndicate: We are the invisible hand that tips the scales. We are the rescue beacon in the dark and the shadow in the debris field.
Crew up. Get paid.

Charter Summary

  • Primary Focus: Mercenary Work, Security, Escort, Bounty Hunting.
  • Requirement: Maturity, a working comm-link, and a flight-ready vessel.
  • Policy: No internal drama. Leave the politics to the Senate.

Charter

The Mercenary’s Code

Keep it professional, keep it profitable.

1. Check the Ego at the Airlock: We’re here to relax and crew up. Disputes between members stay outside or get settled in the sim pods.
2. Honor the Contract: Once you accept a job, you see it through. Abandoning a crew mid-mission is the fastest way to find yourself blacklisted.
3. The “Finder’s” Tax: Respect the lead who secured the contract. Loot and UEC splits are determined before the quantum drive is engaged.
4. Discretion is Mandatory: What’s discussed in The Cantina stays in The Cantina. Don’t leak mission intel to rival orgs or the Advocacy.
5. No Friendly Fire: We don’t hunt our own. Period.

Your rank isn’t just a title; it represents your reliability and your cut of the action.

Rank Designation Role & Responsibility
Drifter Recruit New arrivals. Access to public lounges and entry-level security contracts.
Regular Member Proven reliability. Can join high-stakes ops and access the “Member’s Only” intel feeds.
Vanguard Veteran Combat-hardened pilots and FPS specialists. Usually the first through the door on hot drops.
Contractor Officer Trusted leads who organize mission wings and vet incoming contracts for the club.
Proprietor Founder The ones who keep the lights on and the booze flowing. Final word on club policy.

Specialist Designations

In addition to your rank, members can earn “Specialist Tags” to make crewing up easier:

  • The Wheelman: Dedicated pilot for heavy dropships or gunships (A2, Redeemer, etc.).
  • The Scalpel: Medical specialist (Cutlass Red/Apollo) and field medic.
  • The Ghost: Stealth and infiltration expert for “low-profile” data or assassination runs.
  • The Grease Monkey: Engineering and repair specialist for long-duration deep space ops.
