History

Origins: The Birth of a Vision (2948-2950)
The United Citizens of Cinematics (UCC) was not founded by corporations, studios, or media moguls. It was built in the shadows—by mercenaries, smugglers, and wanderers who saw something greater in the chaos of the universe.

It started with Dante Rho, a former UEE Navy pilot turned rogue documentarian. After deserting his post in 2948, Dante found himself drifting between contracts, running guns for syndicates, and flying escort for mining crews scraping by in the lawless zones of Pyro and Nyx. But what truly fascinated him wasn’t the credits—it was the stories unfolding around him.

In the back alleys of GrimHEX, he met two others who shared his obsession: Liora Vex, a former investigative journalist exiled from Terra, and Callum Thorne, an ex-spy who had seen too much and lived to regret it. Together, they formed UCC—not as a company, but as a collective of rogue storytellers, dedicated to capturing the real, unfiltered reality of the ‘verse.

Their first project, Echoes of Pyro, was a raw, unsanctioned documentary on the lawless chaos of the Pyro system. Filmed from helmet cams and hacked security feeds, it was equal parts truth and myth. It spread like wildfire across Spectrum, drawing both praise and condemnation.

UCC had made its mark. But with notoriety came danger.

Rise to Prominence: Documenting the Dark Corners (2950-2953)
As their reputation grew, UCC expanded beyond simple documentaries. They embedded themselves in high-risk conflicts, secret military operations, and corporate feuds, using hidden cameras, drones, and deep-cover operatives to capture footage that no official news outlet would dare to broadcast.

They became known for:

The Battle of Levski (2951) – A cinematic retelling of an underground rebellion in Nyx.
Veil of Silence (2952) – A psychological war film based on a classified UEE mission gone wrong.
Shadows Over Stanton (2953) – A noir-style investigation into corporate assassinations.
Each production blurred the line between documentary and fiction, making UCC both revered and feared. Some saw them as truth-seekers; others as dangerous agitators exposing secrets that were meant to stay buried.

By 2953, UCC was no longer a small team. They had built an underground network of filmmakers, pilots, and actors who worked in the shadows, using in-game tools, practical effects, and real battle footage to create the most immersive cinematics the ‘verse had ever seen.

The Turning Point: Censorship, Bounties & Survival (2954-2956)
As their influence grew, so did the forces working against them. Corporate giants, UEE intelligence agencies, and crime syndicates all had reasons to silence UCC.

In 2954, the UEE attempted to shut them down, branding them as a “rogue media insurgency.” Spectrum channels carrying their content were blacklisted, and bounties were placed on key members.

Rather than fold, UCC adapted.

They moved into deep-space production hubs, using abandoned stations and hidden asteroid outposts.
They developed encryption networks to distribute their work beyond the reach of UEE censors.
They trained operatives to infiltrate organizations and retrieve the stories that needed to be told.
It was no longer just about cinema—it was about defying control and ensuring the stories of the ‘verse were never erased.

Present Day: The Legacy & The Future
Now, in 2957, UCC is the most powerful underground cinematic syndicate in the ‘verse. They are scattered around the verse and operate in small numbers.

They document the unseen, telling stories the UEE and megacorporations want buried.
They push the limits of filmmaking, using real missions, real risks, and real sacrifices.
They inspire a new generation of pilots, mercenaries, and wanderers to take control of their own narratives.
Their motto remains the same:
