After Mars had been successfully terraformed, the members the board of Earth’s lottery frantically claimed rights to be the first and only interplanetary lottery, recognizing the need to adapt along with humanity’s expansion to the stars. Income of the first draw subsidized the ‘Lottery Fund’, a charity that allocates credits to alleviate moments of great despair. The Mars memorial was the first project to be funded in honour of those who passed in the Great Mars Tragedy in 2125.

Along with the terraforming of the Croshaw system came political change in the form of the UNE (United Nations of Earth). Acknowledging an increased revenue possibility, the Interplanetary Lottery increased its reach and player base by establishing itself as the official UNE Lottery. Lottery funds were allocated to space exploration projects and jump point identification.

During the election of Ivar Messa as Prime Citizen, Messa took it upon himself not only to restructure the government, but also the UNE Lottery. In the wake of the costly war with the Tevarin, the lottery was re-branded to the official UEE Lottery, strictly supporting serving citizens for their on-going duty towards the extended war efforts. The lottery was used as a tax revenue due to fringe planets revolting against the Imperator as well as overall stretched military resources.

The UEE Lottery stopped funding war campaigns exclusively due to growing political instability and civil unrest amongst the systems. In efforts to mend public relations when a leaked document showed the extent of war funding, the UEE Lottery Fund established ‘Doctors without interstellar boarders’, with Captain ‘the dog’ Hugo as their mascot.

The first X’ian to win the lottery after having gained citizenship. Massive debates erupted from more reserved stake holders and members of the board, the pay-out was delayed and ethical debates arose in every system. This landed the first high court case in order to recognize citizen rights beyond the Homo sapiens species. The UEE Lottery buckled under growing tensions by the new Prime Citizen, Erin Toi, and eventually paid out.

The X’ian court case marked a paradigm shift in the way the UEE Lottery functions. It is now open to civilians and citizens alike, as long as both are tax paying individuals with all other affiliations terminated, recognizing the UEE as their singular authority. The lottery opens its first branch in Terra.

UEE Lottery changes from a five number draw system to a raffle system due to high number of false claims made in outer regions by cyber crime syndicates and criminals alike, with both not being recognized by the state.

This became a particular problem when an exiled convict claimed from Banu territory as UEE officers tried to retrieve the credits but were stopped at the boarder. A raffle based system is introduced, bookings are made through the MobiGlas using individual citizen and civilian ID numbers. Claims must be made personally at official lottery hubs around UEE space. UEE announce this system transition calling it more efficient, whilst hiding the fact they nearly started an all out war with the Banu, after they nearly breached the peace and trade treaty by entering Banu sovereignty in efforts to reclaim both criminal and credits.

On the 100th Anniversary celebrations of the UEE Arc, the UEE Lottery announce that from hence forth the Lottery will be open to all races. Debates follow but are silenced by opposition in order to keep humanity in a good light.

The UEE Lottery and megacoperations are under scrutiny as they collectively surpass the wealth of the UEE government. To alleviate the economical and financial stress on the government and to increase PR, the UEE Lottery begin funding of the SynthWorld project in the Chronos system. UEE Hope vessel launched to the outer rim systems in order to re-enforce aid efforts to counter the increasing vanduul attacks.
