UEE Navy 32nd Battle Group
Founded in 2567, the UEE Navy’s 32nd Battle Group was initially assigned to the Nexus Sector, where it was tasked with protecting civilian populations and safeguarding commercial shipping routes against local pirate factions. Operating in a region plagued by criminal activity and limited security infrastructure, the Battle Group played an important role in maintaining stability and providing protection to settlements and independent traders throughout its area of responsibility.
In 2872, the 32nd Battle Group was reassigned to the Stanton System in response to growing security concerns and increasing criminal activity originating from the Pyro and Magnus Systems. Its new mission was to strengthen the region’s defenses, protect its expanding commercial infrastructure, and counter the spread of piracy and other organized criminal operations. The transfer marked a significant change in the unit’s operational focus, placing it in a strategically important system at the intersection of commercial interests and frontier security.
In 2956, command of the 32nd Battle Group was transferred to William J. Brand. Under his leadership, the formation continues its established mission while maintaining the flexibility required to operate across several systems with distinct political and security environments.
Current Operations
The 32nd Battle Group primarily operates within the Stanton and Castra Systems, where it conducts regular patrols, convoy escort missions, and targeted operations against criminal forces threatening civilian traffic and UEE interests. Its presence serves both as a defensive measure and as a means of responding rapidly to emerging threats before they can escalate into larger security incidents.
Stanton presents a particular operational challenge due to its corporate governance structure, extensive commercial activity, and dependence on secure transport routes. The Battle Group must therefore balance its military responsibilities with cooperation and coordination involving local authorities, corporate security forces, and other authorized organizations. Its role is not limited to responding to direct attacks, but also includes maintaining a visible naval presence and deterring hostile activity throughout the system.
With the approval of UEE Military High Command, the 32nd Battle Group is additionally authorized to conduct operations within the Pyro and Nyx Systems. These deployments extend its reach beyond its primary area of responsibility, allowing it to respond to cross-system threats, pursue hostile elements operating outside Stanton and Castra, and support broader imperial security objectives.
Operations in Pyro require particular caution due to the system’s fragmented power structures, widespread piracy, and limited centralized security. In Nyx, the Battle Group must account for the needs of remote settlements, mining operations, and civilian traffic operating far from established centers of authority. Of particular concern is the growing Vanduul threat, which poses an increasingly serious danger to the system’s settlements and civilian populations. Deployments into either system are conducted according to mission requirements and the authorization granted by Military High Command.
This combination of routine security duties and authorized deployments beyond its primary theater allows the 32nd Battle Group to serve as both a regional defense force and a flexible operational formation capable of addressing threats across multiple systems.
Command and Assets
Commanding Officer: William J. Brand
Flagship: UEES Stanton FF-1142 — the second vessel to bear the name
The UEES Stanton serves as the Battle Group’s flagship and principal command vessel. It provides the central coordination point for operational planning, communications, and the direction of assigned naval forces. From the flagship, the Battle Group’s command staff oversees deployments across its operational theater and coordinates the activities of its subordinate units.
As the second vessel to carry the name Stanton, the ship also represents the formation’s longstanding connection to the system that has served as its primary area of operations since 2872.
The 32nd Battle Group is committed to the protection of civilian life and the defense of UEE territories and interests against hostile forces. Its foremost priority is to safeguard civilian populations from the threats posed by piracy, organized criminal activity, and hostile incursions.
With the growing Vanduul threat in the Nyx System, the UEE recognizes the need for a more active military presence and a determined response to Vanduul aggression. Its objective is to protect vulnerable settlements, prevent further loss of civilian life, and contribute to the defeat of Vanduul forces.
Through sustained military readiness, decisive action, and the protection of those unable to defend themselves, the 32nd Battle Group seeks to preserve regional stability and ensure the security of the Empire’s frontier.
The UEE Navy 32nd Battlegroup is a Mil-Sim Lite / Roleplay organisation, catering to those who favour a slower but more in-depth experience to Star Citizen’s PvE / PvP content and the wider ‘verse. We routinely run one main operation a week, with availability across the unit taken into account, alongside smaller combat and logistics events to support the wider organisation and play together.
Currently we run to an 1800utc time-slot for our events, with some movement where required to ensure attendance is maximised and each member feels they’re able to contribute.
Exclusivity – Enlistment in the 32nd Battlegroup is NOT exclusive at this time.
Age Requirement – 18+ as a general rule. 16+ with sponsorship from a current enlisted of Leading Starman (E-3) or above in rank. This is also at the discretion of BG32’s command staff and the recruitment team.
Attendance – Enlistment in BG32 will require attendance of at least one (1) event a week and two (2) main operations a month. We currently employ an LOA (leave of absence) system to ensure everyone is able to take time away and place IRL above a video-game. However and most importantly, any extended absence (7+ days) or absence from a main operation must be input as an LOA and your CoC (chain of command) made aware in advance.
Language / Microphone Requirement – All enlisted must be able to speak legible English and have a working microphone to use for communicating day-to-day and during the unit’s events.
BG32’s rules and requirements can be found on our Discord, linked above.
