History

Departure from Terra
2954 – Prime, Terra System

The 3rd Expeditionary Command is established under Naval Directive 14-92A, originating from the 108th Battle Group via UEE Terra Naval Command. The command has a mandate to project UEE presence across core and transitional systems (specifically Stanton, Pyro, Nyx and Castra) supporting UEE fleet operations and maintaining order in regions where permanent fleet stationing is logistically untenable given the sustained demands of the Vanduul conflict.

Fleet Redeployment
2955 – New Babbage, Microtech, Stanton System

As the Vanduul war intensifies along the frontier, major fleet elements are progressively reassigned to forward operational theatres, leaving significant gaps in UEE rear-area security. Piracy, humanitarian crises, and factional instability proliferate in systems where a consistent naval presence can no longer be maintained. In response, Terra Naval Command recommissions the 3rd Expeditionary as a semi-autonomous mobile task force, authorised to operate beyond traditional fleet command structures and empowered to respond independently to developing situations across its area of responsibility.

Ongoing Mission: Humanitarian, Anti-Piracy and Stabilisation efforts
2956 – Levski, Nyx System

Currently deployed across Stanton, Pyro and Nyx, the 3rd Expeditionary maintains an active recruitment and mentorship programme, integrating new personnel drawn from across the system into structured training pipelines. The command’s doctrinal emphasis on education, adaptability, and the moral duty of service distinguishes it from the transactional contractor culture prevalent in Stanton. Recruits are prepared not merely for the operational demands of the current posting, but for eventual deployment to the Vanduul front, the theatre for which all expeditionary training is ultimately calibrated.

Manifesto

Our Purpose

While the great fleets of the Empire wage battle against the Vanduul, we serve those who remain behind; the citizens, traders, settlers, and frontier workers who are the lifeblood of humanity’s expansion.

Our Duty

We pledge ourselves to the preservation of life, the protection of stability, and the advancement of knowledge within UEE space and beyond.
Every recruit we train represents a spark of hope that will one day burn at the front lines.

Our Creed

To Serve: We act in the name of the United Earth Empire Navy.

To Learn: We believe that every engagement, every expedition, every hardship is an opportunity to grow stronger and wiser.

To Protect: We defend those who cannot defend themselves.

To Unite: We embody the spirit of cooperation between Navy and civilian, soldier and scholar, explorer and engineer.

Our Vision

From Terra to Stanton, into Pyro and Nyx the 3rd Expeditionary Command will carry forth the banner of the 108th Battle Group and the UEE not as a symbol of dominance, but of compassion, resolve and stability.

When the call comes to join the fleets at the Vanduul front, our recruits will fly not as novices, but as tested officers forged in service, ready to defend the light they once safeguarded.

Closing Declaration

We are the 3rd Expeditionary Command – The shield of the UEE.

Admiral Nullen, Commanding Officer
United Empire of Earth Navy
