United Terra Security, commonly known by its operational callsign UNITS, was founded in the wake of repeated security failures along the commercial frontier. As the UEE Navy and Advocacy stretched their resources across expanding systems, private industry, civilian haulers, prospectors, and independent settlements increasingly found themselves exposed to piracy, extortion, theft, and organized raider activity.

UNITS began as a small contract security detachment formed by former Navy personnel, bounty hunters, combat pilots, logistics officers, and recovery specialists. Its first contracts were simple: escort high-value cargo, retrieve stolen assets, and neutralize threats that local authorities could not reach in time. What separated UNITS from ordinary mercenary outfits was discipline. Every operation was logged, every target verified, every recovery accounted for, and every member expected to function as part of a coordinated force.

The organization’s reputation was forged during a series of asset recovery operations along unstable trade corridors. While other contractors focused on quick payouts, UNITS developed a doctrine of total mission value: eliminate the threat, recover the asset, secure salvage, extract intelligence, and return with every possible resource the operation could yield. A bounty was never just a bounty. A wreck was never just debris. A battlefield was never just a place to leave behind.

Over time, UNITS evolved from a security outfit into a full-spectrum Private Military Company specializing in high-value bounty hunting, tactical asset recovery, combat logistics, and resource extraction from hostile environments. Its crews became known for coordinated strikes, overlapping fire support, disciplined boarding actions, and the ability to bring capital-class pressure to targets that assumed they were beyond reach.
